Hey guys im new too growing pot and i decided too grow 1 plant in a 3 gallon bucket of fox farms ocean forest soil right know i am using a 100watt led grow light but i will upgrade this in the future
On 3/14/2023 i noticed my seedling sticking its head out of the soil so i turned on the led light and kept it 14 inches above the plant and dimmed the light to 50%.
On 3/18/2023 today my plant finally opened its leaves so i watered my plant with 60 oz of water i got a lot of runoff and i turned the led light on full power.
On 3/22/2023 i noticed my plant stretching a lot so i lowered my led light it used to be 14 inches above the plant know its 10 inches above the plant i was gonna water today but i decided not too because the bucket still has alot of water

If anyone can give me any tips on how often i should water a plant in a 3 gallon bucket or what nutrients too use etc please leave me a comment below

Seedlings only need a little bit of water. No reason to be adding that much until the roots have spread out. Just a little bit around the base of the plant for now.

Looks good. Just try not to saturate the entire pot until it's grown a little bigger, and roots populate the pot.
Areas with no roots to take up the water will stay wet & throw the "Weighing the pot" method way off.
A shot glass or 2 of water should suffice. Giving too much can kill it this early in life, or at least stunt it severely.
Water with care. No hard pouring. Keep us updated. :peace:

next grow, get a small cola bottle and drill/make holes in it, and plant it along side your seedling, then when you first water it in such a big pot, your no washing nutes away from your soil and plant, water go's directly to where its needed

Now that you are using fertilizers your next investment needs to be a ph meter and
a Ppm meter. These are crucial to determine the amount of nutrients and keeping ph in check
You got this
