Growing an auto and photo at the same time

I currently have an auto in week 4. I wanted to start a photo now so by the time the auto finishes my photo will be a month old. My current light cycle is 20/4. My question is will it freak out the auto if i change the cyle to 18/6 in the middle of flowering. I know autos don't care about light schedule but I'm just wondering.

I switched an auto to 12/12 from 20/4 to run with a photo. I saw absolutely no difference growing (or yield wise) 12/12 vs 20/4. Tge switch didnt seem to have any effect on the auto.
