Ok i have decided on something important to the world of weed and many of you may disagree but i am feed up of what i think is the low standard no changing quality of weed and i am going to try a boost the quality from other seed providers. Your probaly thinking what is he on about but wait here i go. I have got some money together and i am going to map the cannabis gene sequence against hops to get the basics the i will go on the find the gene sequence for flavour and production levels.

Fisrtly i aim to find the gene sequence what controls thc levels. i will then compare an afgan with something sweet. then something with standard production to a big bud.

By doing this i hope to grow one single ultra smooth tasting plant with sutles tones of many flavours almost like a nice golden rum. this single plant will be famale and have a large amount of thc never since avalible maybe fifty sixty percent with a low leaf to bud ratio and a flowering periiod of three weeks on an auto flower cycle producting a small plant holding around a pound of dry wait weed. this signle plant being female.

i will then grow and light stress this plant to produce female seeds which i will then sell as a one of production to see if the GM weed is accepted if not i will rejuvanate the plant to produce more weed for me. but if it is accepted i will increase production.

what do you think:joint:

plus would anyone be willing to purcase any of the seeds at the end of this project

I dont think a lot of what you are planning is even possible (more than 30% or crossing marijuana with hops both impossible) also 'light stess' is not how you get fem seeds

i am not crossing hops and marijuana i am going to isolate the gene what makes cannabis cannabis istead of hops plus light stress can cause females to produce female seeds though strees i would perfer to try this method for quality perposses instead of using gerbillic acid but yes if light streesing does not work i will use gerbillic acid.

I don't like genetically modified anything. I think it does serious harm to our bodies and the environment.

I aim to give you all an insight into this project and i will show you how i will get the perfect GM crop over the next year

i think if u were to take on such a task, u are already taking it too far.
i think flavor, and potency would be enough.

you dont want to genetically impose hardships for the plant. trying to make a plant short with few leaves, and hold up the weight of a pound of bud, would make the plants little life difficult. it needs leaves to absorb light. and i dont think auto flowers are for everyone. you cant clone them. and what if someone wanted to veg it for longer, and wants a bigger plant?
Improve the plant, dont make it a freak.

Baby steps my friend. baby steps.

zer0ed you have a good point there maybe i am aiming to high would you like a plant with high potency about 50-60 percent and smooth flavour like rum without auto flowering and trying to push for quantity as well

So , what kind of lab do you have and where did you go to college to obtain the credentials to make you experiment worthy.
Just something to make us believe that you are not just another stoner thinking that he can reinvent the wheel.

I honestly think breeder selection is about as "altered" as i want my weed. I don't care how advanced we get with botany, we will never accomplish what mother nature has been able to do and it took her millions of years. I just feel like every time we do something to a plant or animal to enhance a particular feature we end up inadvertantly destroying some kind of unique ability in the process, and we never find out untill later. On the other hand such experimentation usually leads to interesting discoveries, so I say have at it and let us know.

Seedless watermelon!

i have gone to college and i have got the money to support an indipendent lab at which i will be isolating the gene sequence and developing the cell culture to a fully mature plant.

Seedless watermelon!

am i the only one with beef with seedless watermelon? it's not really seedless because it still has those little clear seeds and it's never as red or juicy and delicious as the watermelon with all those annoying black seeds. is it just me? I like the real kind better. and then they go and make the whole fruit cube shaped so it ships easier??...leave my watermelon alone!:cuss:

I think you're a fucking loon. Hope this helps.

Things like corn and other vegetables and animals used for meat have been genetically altered to increase yeild , possibly even taste, ect.. If it can be done for other things it can be done for Marijuana... Carribian mentions hops because they happen to belong to the same family so should be geneticly simmilar at the least. This could be a very exciting project that may be happening elsewhere under closed doors. Have you ammased enough cash to hire a team and move them to your location to assist?

Like say... myself? lol

i have got a small team togeth at some cost but i belive it is worth it and i have all the equipment in a location i cant mention becuase of all the no genetic modification protesters

If you did this I would buy seeds for sure
if you could offer seeds with improved taste thc yield growth and looks
I would pay big bucks
if you could prove they are stable and good gem rates
there is alot of ifs here
