Growing in Central America

Hi, ive decided to give growing a try, but im new to it. I live in central america, and my concern is that down here there are basically two seasons, just summer and rainy, therefore the cycle of the sun is basically the same throughout the year; im worried that the plants will never enter the flowering stage. The few growers I know, grow indoors, and have never tried growing outdoors, but supposedly weather down here is perfect for growing so I wanna grow outside, plus is cheaper and police dont really care, more have been busted for growing indoors than growing outdoors.

I would think that being closer to the equator would cause your day and nights to pretty close to 12/12 all year. I have no clue, but i once saw a thread where a guy in mexico had a 12+ foot sativa growing through the cracks of pavement

Yeha you can still grow monster plants in central America. I am very close to the euqator too (hawaii), so we get about 12/12 or 13/11 pretty much all year long, but somehow the plants just seem to grow fine.

That sounds awesome, I cant wait to start growing. It would be really interesting to know how the plants change from veg to flowering with the days and nights being pretty much 12/12 the whole year; do they become auto or something?

Well you should plant when they hours are a little longer, or the sunny season, dont plant in the rainy season you have. When the rainy season starts coming along, the plants will get a little bit less light than before from a combination of the clouds/30 minutes sun a day ect, they just know, Its strange, marijuana plants just adapt to their enviroments, weather you have them on 20/4 for vegging idoors or 12/12 outside their whole lives they will figure it out, its survival.
