growing in the summer

I am wandering if it is already too late to start a few more plants. i have a couple but i would like to start a few more.

I'm from LA and it's already in the high 80's and low 90's here... last year my plants slowed their growth to a crawl about this time of summer... i think you may have luck planting so they're in the shade at the hot parts of the day... my tomatoes have even started slowing their growth from the heat. goodluck growing!

thanks for the reply andy. Ill try planting them where theyll be in the shade except for in the mornings. Yeah its pretty warm here in bama. hit 99 at my college 2day.
