Growing tips? Pruning? LST? Noob help pls!

Yo what’s good guys and gals

Take a look at my pictures and tell me what I can do to improve this grow. Should I prune and how should I?

I have 4 nodes and just topped the 5th. Is the top growing correctly?

Leaves started growing at the start of the nodes. What do the leaves at the nodes mean and should I do anything about it?


Am I doing LST correctly?

It's still young, just let it grow. Screwing with the plant when it is this young will just slow down it's growth. I don't understand why so many new growers feel like they need to chop up their young plants. I personally wait until they get to 6 or more nodes, then top above the 3rd node, and remove the bud sites (not the fan leaves) below the 3rd node. Then I just let it grow and I LST from there on. If it is still in a cup then it's too early to do any training, IMO.

it is 1month since planted in same cup. Slow growth because no microbes or perlite.
So, I should remove the leaves at the bud sites (the leaves at the start of the nodes)?

You shouldn't remove anything at this stage. I would wait until after it has been transplanted into a larger pot and has settled into it. If it is growing slowly, then it isn't happy, and no amount of pruning is going to help that.

okay, I get what ur saying. I shall wait until transplant then. I was just wondering cuz it’s getting particularly bushy on the bottom

Gotcha. I’ll get it upright again. Patience..

Also, those leaves that are forming at the nodes, those are gonna be branches??
