Growing with hps?!?

I'm going to do my last two weeks of veg with my 1000 watt light. Is it alright to grow with the hps or is it worth the 90 dollars to buy a mh bulb. Any quick answers would help I'm getting ready to go to the hydro store. Thanks

use a conversion bulb.

dont put a 1000 watt metal halide bulb into a socket that runs into a 1000 watt high pressure sodium ballast. FYI.

HPS all the way will work great cfl for veging is also really good to save money on power costs bongsmilie but you can grow from start to finish with hps!

If you have a 1000watt "hps system ballast" (NOT MH) already with a working hps bulb then just use that. I use hps also throughout all my grows. Only thing I don't like about hps is when i take photos to share with folks online how they all seem to think there is something wrong with the plants when actually its just the color of light coming off the hps. They must be cfl growers;-) You don't need conversion bulbs. Save money & stick with the hps bulb. :peace:
