Guerilla Grow, first time, advice welcomed!

Well good evening to you

I've finally decided to have a go at growing my own, long time 20+ years smoker, never grown any, but now I'm having a dabble!

Growing it at home is off the cards, so a guerilla grow it is

I am under no illusions about this, its mainly an experiment, but if I get a usable product from it, I will be ecstatic

I have successfully germinated 2 seeds so far, and about 8 others waiting to sprout, from bag seeds I have collected over the year or so

I am going to keep them growing here until they have some strengh

I have found a secluded spot, and I plan to keep them in felt pots and spread them about the area, hopefully at least 3 plants on the go

No local water supply to the spot, so I will have to visit every 2 or 3 days I think

Drying the buds will be a big issue and is what I'm concerned about the most, im thinking either string them up and hang them in the canopy of a tree, or get a cardboard box, poke some stick through it, hang the buds inside with plenty of ventilation holes, and waterproof / camouflage the box and pray they survive, for 10 days or so and take them home for the cure

Solid plan or doomed to fail?

Thanks

Doable....
Water is heavy, real fucking heavy when you have to carry it over rough terrain and any distance, got a rain barrel?
Weed need lots of light and air flow, big pots too, 10 gal minimum IMO
Just me - but I wouldn't dry & cure outdoors, mold and bugs

I would add in that hopefully it's an area with very little human traffic around. Visiting the grow area every 2-3 days will beat a pretty noticeable trail fairly quick. Like noted above water gets very heavy, very quickly.

Reminds me my growing beginigs. For first time guerilla grow, I´d make it the most simple. Wattering every 2-3 days is tough without watter suply. Plant directly in well prepared soil. Avoid too much visiting your spot. And drying outdoors in canopy of trees is nonsense for me, tryed it actualy and resulted in molds. This is the most important part, find proper place to dry your buds. Guerilla is fun.

Hey, thanks for the replies

As its my first attempt at growing I'm actually wanting to keep the plants relatively small like 5 gallon size, there's plenty of sun and air, and I will stash them all over so less chance of getting caught

And yeah Drying them outdoors is a choice I want to make, but it seems my only option at this pont, I need to figure that out, but cureing will be indoors

If you have no nearby water supply you might not want felt pots. The felt is great for letting oxygen in, but drys the pots out quickly, you may have to water twice a day in felt when only every other day in plastic pots. If you have to keep the plants mobile I would choose plastic pots just to save my back.

If you want strength make sure you put a fan on it. Wind and strong light.
I don't see why this shouldn't work. I bet you're excited about it, enjoy and good luck buddy.

Good point above about using plastic pots instead. Weed drinks a ton of water once they get big, you probably need to water more often than you think.

If you made a grow journal I would follow. You could learn alot by getting experienced grower's input, as you will most deffinitely run into problems.

Good points on the felt pots, I only chose them as I have them already ha, no science behind it, I do have some plastic pots about so I will use them

Looking at Google satellite, there is a stream nearby so not all is lost

And excellent idea on the journal, I will definitely give that a go

And very excited! I just hope my seeds are auto flower and I don't have to wait 6 months lol
