guerilla growing SUCKS *rant*

This season's grow is my second grow attempt- and while I can't call it a failure (since I have 6 left from 8 plants that are all already bigger than the 4 plants i harvested last year in my backyard) my accomplishments with guerilla growing never even come close to my expectations

I wish I could just go to a dispensary, purchase some clones...put em in the ground when the time comes, and care for them from the liesure of my backyard/balcony/patio. Last year, of all the seeds I sowed, I put half (4) at a guerilla grow site and the other half in my backyard....and it just so happened to be that the plants in my backyard turned out to be all the females

All this hauling of soil/tools to some desolate location in the woods, digging holes and tending to plants while getting eaten alive by mosquitos and molested by ticks, constantly having to protect your crop from deer, possums, rabbits, slugs, mites, etc... just to find that half, or god-forbid MORE, of your plants wont even produce buds.....

SO FUCKIN IRRITATING

why the hell can't I live in a medical marijuana state? why the fuck is a PLANT so illegal to GROW?! I think I'd really consider moving JUST to be able to grow pot without having to hatch my way through some swampy jungle to a discreet location with less-than-stellar growing conditions. seriously

anyway, ill try n get pics up of my plants soon

bottom leaves are yellowing a bit and the excess rain (i think) is causing the new foilage growth to curl upwards...

I just want to be able to take PRIDE in growing nice big healthy plants that produce nice big healthy buds, like many of you

and probably above all else, I just want to be able to make due with SOME bud after all the work I've put into this

...thanks for reading

LOL, welcome to the real world of guerilla growing. :weed: If it was that easy everyone would be doing it.

yea, that style of growing is rough to say the least, If you going to grow from seed, you really need to start them in a more controlled environment until they get big enough to sex, then only put out females.

yes...i figure that to be the case...either ppl dont wanna assume the risk in states w/out med use...or ppl have become accustomed to more liesurely work. it def takes heart

*that was to you, slabhead"

yes i agree, this will have to be the way to go....extend the season by starting indoors, sexing and cloning...could def make me more ambitious about caring for the plants all year long, knowing they're all going to produce buds if i take proper care

ya i feal you man hauling 20 bags of potting soil 1 mile in gets old but im in great shape and getting pretty ripped lol so its all good what doesnt kill you makes you stronger my friend.

Yup guerrilla growing is a pain and this is my first year. I have to walk through what is now a swamp from all the rain, get mosquito bites all over me, and be ready to pull off numerous ticks when i get back. I have already gotten 2 cases of poison ivy as well :) But as stated if it was easy everyone would be doing it. It is more of an annoyance to haul stuff to your patch, not a strain i would say. But then again i do it for the hobby not the bud because nothing is better than looking at a healthy plant (although bugs are taking over mine)
~Good Luck

living with my parents for the time being...im in my early 20's...

Dude I know the feeling. I was out on my own for almost 4 years and waiting til I moved back in to decide I wanted to grow, so I had to go guerilla. I started them indoors for the first 3 weeks to get a little size on them before then went out, Lemme tell ya, they were 3 weeks of paranoia, haha. If someone would have came in and opened up my closet, it wouldn't have been good. It does suck having to dig all the holes and haul everything out, but I kind of like it in a way. Gets ya out of the house, good exercise, fresh air. I lost 3 out of my 9 plants so far. When you add the cost of seeds, soil, and everything else, I'm out a good bit of money so far. 3 of my 6 remaining plant are regular seeds and only 1 is showing female preflowers, so to think all this work I'm putting into the other 2 might be for nothing sucks too. The other 3 are fem seeds, but then you still gotta worry about them going hermie. The good news is, one is an auto and is about 3 weeks from finishing already, so even if everything else goes wrong it won't be a complete bust. If I lose that one though I may freak out, lol. I think the worst part is, my buddy sold me a brand new 250w hps system a few months ago dirt cheap. Just DYING to plug it in!

One piece of advice about the bugs...Deep Wood Off...Wouldn't step foot in the bush without it.
