I have germed and planted one more since my problems started, but it hasn't broke the surface. I am gonna germ another tonight or tomorrow if this one doesn't break the surface. Yeah, I hate to give up on em, but I don't have a lot of seeds either so I will wait it out.

Well I have been giving my girls ph adjusted water in the pots, and foliar feeding a less than qtr strength nute mix. I think at least one will make it. it looks like there is new growth coming out of the nodes where the leaves have fallen off. Hopefully there will be more improvement tonight since I flushed them very good yesterday afternoon.

The first seed I germed never broke the surface. I germed another last night, hope it takes! I will post some pics for everyones thoughts tonight

Yesterday the very last bit of runoff I could squeeze from them ph'ed at about 5. Not sure if that is a very accurate measurement or not since its run off. What are y'alls thoughts?

Next watering will be a mild nute bath, qtr strength or less. I am hoping to have this battle whipped soon. After all it is a weed, shouldn't be that hard to grow!!! I feel like such a newb!! Well I won't listen to all the hype telling me not to ph my water next time. All water aint good enough for plants! Even my tomato plant is looking better!

Glad to hear there's some positive signs gum.
That ph5 reading is a little low so maybe ph the flushes & feeds to around ph7, but if the plant is coming back then the signs are good.

What signs would you recommend I use for adding nutes? I know that is an open ended question. They are both yellow as hell, with a little bit of burnt tips. I figured they need some nutes at a good ph, but someone told me no without explanation. I know one should get the nutes at next feeding, but the other has worse burnt tips making me think it had too many nutes when it locked out (not sure if it will make it actually. And I know they can live without nutes, but they will be ugly! They prob won't be dry for a day or 2, so some pics will be in order for some opinions. Thanks for stopping by v12!

We are 2 peas in a cmh pc pod gum:)
You can up the misting to full strength without harming the plants. In nature they often get 95% of their food from the leaves.
In UK we just had that volcanic ash dropping directly onto our plants (and my feckin car!) without any evidence of nuteburn. Forest fires distribute pure potash and plants just lap it up. I assure you it will do them no harm.

If you aren't sure about the medium then just use ph6.5-7 water until you're happy and keep misting them dinner.
Plants can shock quite easily and they just seem to shut down for a bit. If you are seeing signs of new growth then they are coming back.

Thanks v12, that's very reassuring!! I will do just that until they look differently (good or bad differently). At that point I'll adjust accordingly. I am gonna make sure I catch the first bit of runoff this time I water. I know that had an affect, just not sure if it will be lower or higher at the start of runoff.

I'm not sure either, I just collect the lot and check it as a whole.
It just occurred to me that rockwool is around ph4.5 and needs washing before it can be used and rockwool is legendary in the weed world so I don't think you'll have a long term problem. Just got to ride out the storm.

Can I ask a favour?
Some idiot tent grower wiped out your most informative pics in the pc growers group and I think your pics are worth a thousand of his. Any chance you can do a repost to wipe his shit out and spread the word on cmh?
FWIW I told him what a prick he is.

Good point on the medium, will keep that in mind. I will start looking for a ph pen or something that does soil and water. I plan to dabble in hydro soon anyhow, so I will need the equipment. Gonna do some trial runs with tomatoes and peppers in the kitchen window before I try something with are precious herb.

No prob on the pic's. I will post some tonight. Were they my case pic's? I think they are the only ones I posted there. I built the light trap you shared with me from icmag!! Works pretty good. I made the entire face of my pc a big vent!! Still about 84f 1" below the light.

Well I was gonna update over the weekend but they looked worse, not even worth taken pic's. One is all but dead, the other is a tad more green. At this point I am only keeping them around to see if I can make them better, don't even care to grow them really.

I have been trying to get more seeds to germ/pop, but no luck. I am wanting to break down and buy good genetics, but I don't want to f them up too.

Little discouraged at the moment, but I will drive on. I enjoy some green to come home to in my box, and the wifes house plants just aren't they same. Maybe these seeds will pop and I can get some fresh pics up this weekend. Thanks for dropping in.

Hey gum it sounds like you could do with some tips on getting those seeds to crack.
I use a small tupperware container with about 8 sheets of toilet roll inside. I put the toilet roll under the tap and let it drip until the the whole towel is damp then push a seed inbetween the sheets. The lid goes on and the container goes into a drawer to keep it dark and warm. I can only ever remember 1 or 2 seeds failing to pop and usually they are ready to plant in 48 hours.
Try it with a few bagseeds and you should see a marked improvement in germ rates.

Thanks v12. Do you take the seeds out of the toilet roll, or tear the section of toilet roll and bury it with the seed? I normally put the seed in a wet paper towel in between to styrofoam plates on top of the frig. Then put them in soil once the tap begins. I haven't had good luck, so I just threw these into some pucks I made with a perlite vermi mix, more perlite than vermi. Its been 3 days today, hoping for some sproutage when I get home. If I don't get sproutage by the morning I will try your method.

I never thought of putting them in the drawer. I am sure my socks will keep 'em warm!!

Thanks again for your guidance v12, your the best!

Cheers gum.
The seed will be easy to lift out, just pick it up by the shell and drop it into the medium tail first. I tend to make a little hole for it in the medium and then sprinkle a bit more soil over it or firm it up a little, so just the top of the shell is exposed to the light.

Ok, I always put it about a half inch under. Never knew I could even do that. I guess they are plants and the seeds probably don't even have to be buried, I am sure in the wild more seed grow from top than bottom. Thanks again my good friend.

I have always just misted some paper towel really well then putting the seed in the paper towel then fold it and put it in a jar open it once a day to check on the seed. untill it pops!usually within 24 hours.
