krakatoa dumped more co2, sulpher, and methane in one week than the entire human race in the past 50 years. The earth is cyclical. Am i the only one who recalls the "Ice Age Is coming" ploy from the 70's Personally in the southeast we hae had one of the mildest summers in years an it is well below average temps for November...

There was some definitely great material on this thread but so far, these two are the clear winners in FUNNY!!!!

This reminds me of high school chemistry labs where I would fudge some numbers to get the result the teacher wanted.

This made my year!!! i gave my last speech in my final semester in college for communications on "Why Global Warming is a Media Hoax" and this website is one of the major links to evidence... Co2 + light = oxygen, we breath oxygen. Increase CO2 plants grow faster, so they convert CO2 faster so it doesn't "accumulate" like these wacko scientists say it does!! score one for the truth! Yes, we do have negative impacts on the environment, but we're not causing the world to get warmer by increasing the amount of CO2 in the world, that's just nonsense!

After the fall of communism people of the west needed something to "fight against" what better than an environmental cause? Who would dare challenge people who want to save the earth we live on?

It's funny becasue water vapor makes up over 50% of greenhouse gasses, while CO2 is around 15%. Telling me to not drive my SUV around would be like me telling you to take cold showers.

It's been a long time coming.

there has been no rise in temps in the past ten years, infact we are cooling now


global warming is due to sun spot activity which runs in cycles


the most active part of the cycle is over and for the past ten years we have been in the least active part of the cycle, almost no sunsposts are occuring today,

this cools our planet, europe will see another mini ice age as they did a few hundred years ago during the same part of this repeating cycle


the reason there was global warming before is becuase of very active sun spot activity

Actually, global warming is GOOD!!! The "nutjobs" got even that one backwards.

Want more oxygen? global warming.
Want more food? global warming
Want more fresh water? global warming
Want less ppl to die from exposure and pneumonia? global warming

Global cooling brings the exact opposite.

I do believe climate change has been hijacked by those seeing an opportunity to further empoverish the global population and enriching themselves at the same time... Just recently I heard they are going to slap just under 10% on the price of a new car here which will go to the international climate cartel.

I'm all for conservation etc. but there are more inteligent ways of doing things than handing over money to some fucks.

No shit most of what you are told about climate change is bull shit. Most environment scientist are lying liberals. What a lot of them neglect to tell the public is that Solar activity in the sun can and does cause global warming and global cooling. In the late 1800s the world had what they called a miniature Ice age due to a lack of solar activity on the sun. After about 12 yrs solar activity on the Sun's Photosphere and chromosphere resumed and the Earth heated up. I'm talking a Physics class and a liberal environmental science class, it's pretty funny how much information my liberal environmental science text book and teacher leave out so you go along with their dumb logic.

The only aspect about climate change I agree with is the CO2 cycles and their being too much of a pool of CO2 in our atmosphere causing a run away green house effect. That is proven mathematically and with physics. However we are always lowering our Co2 output so who cares about this issue. All that excess CO2 in the air will deposit into the oceans via rain and then it will get trapped in the sedimentary rock and sand and eventually get trapped in the earth due to subduction.

so the tectonic plates are going to trap all the CO2 - and how long will that take at 4 centimeters per year.

the CO2 does not get "trapped" by sedimentary rock and sand. it alters the pH of the oceans.

in addition to the ocean pH problem, there is a ocean temperature issue
as the oceans heat, methane is released creating a domino effect, which could be a major compounding effect on greenhouse gases

just throw up that chart showing the link of carbon %'s and global mean temperature swings.....

Since ur so sure it's carbon.
