Hanna PH/EC pen, how does it work??

So I just bought this pen in hopes to check the ec/ph/tds. I was told it can be used for all. Problem is when the different settings is ph, which works great, the other 2 settings are "ppt" and "ms". Not ec or tds. Is there a formula you calculate? Or something I'm not seeing? Any feedback appreciated!

ph meters can be finicky. make sure to test/adjust it often.. when i do adjust my ph it takes much less than the directions say on the ph up or down. dont try to adjust your rez more than a 1/2point a day

Make sure you clean and store your meter properly. I learned my lesson after my last meter failed due to neglect, all my fault and a pricey one

but as mentioned, ppt is ppm just one decimal place off so it can fit into the display better is what i think

I have this pen, and had a problem in the beginning but have now got the pen dialed in.

how to set. dont take shortcuts
- rinse pen thoroughly under water and let sit in a the 4.01 solution for a 16 hrs to a full day. the electrode has to soak completely.
- next you want to calibrate.
- in pH mode hold mode button until it says CAL
- rinse the pen off using a small amount of the 7.01 solution.
-once rinsed, let the pen now sit in the 7.01 solution - should take no more than a minute
---once the pen says use 4.01 , you rinse the pen with the 4.01 solution
- once rinsed let the pen sit in the 4.01 solution and it should within a minute be calibrated.

hold the mode button down in ppm mode until it says CONV then, set the CONV to .7 and the BETA to 1.9

-- you now want to calibrate the PPM and TDS.
- use solution HI 70442 tds 1500
- to calibrate switch to ppm on the meter and hold mode until it says CAL. then place in solution and it will be set.
*** I dont use the μS mode. just pH and ppm.
YOUR GOOD TO GO.

after measuring your water, you want to rinse with tap water. keep a few drops of solution 4.01 in the cap at all times. It works as a great storage solution. YOU DO NOT WANT THE ELECTRODE TO DRY!

I don't believe it is necessary to use the Calibration/storage solution to rinse between calibrations.
For that you can just use tap water.
