Happy Solstice 2021

Actually I'm probably just going to do one plant in a DIY SIP using an 18 gallon tote. I have an old wagon I'll set it in so I can roll it around behind the shed to hide it when company comes over. I don't care if it's legal to grow. I still like to keep things out of sight when some people come over.

I'm making some fem seeds of this damn Durbistan IBL that I've been working on for 3 years. I'll probably start it really early inside and train it into a bush supercropping and LST. I'm hoping for a mid September finish. It flowers pretty fast as the lineage is Durban and PCK. It's damn good weed. There's better but this one is my baby and I love it.

The path of the sun as seen on Solstice 2020 from Fairbanks AK. Sunup to sundown. I don't even see this because I'm on the far side of the Hills. This is why we celebrate like it's a holiday.

That's the Alaska Range in the distance.

Edit add: this damned diesel started and easily this morning. I just know it's going to be a good year with a sign like that. Only an idiot drives a diesel in Alaska and I'm qualified! However in my defense it was actually given to me by a seed customer here. It was a lifesaver.

Yep. I have 5 Northern Lights Auto seeds. I am going to start them on them at the beginning of April, in my conservatory and outside as soon as they get a decent size. When they start to flower I will pop 5 more, which should be good to finish at the start of September.

@hotrodharley ... Glad I visited AK in June!... the sun was up almost all the time. We arrived at 3 am, and it was light enough to see a good distance. Don't think I could do the other side of that coin when it's dark most of the time.

3 hours and 40 minutes of daylight for me today and won't actually be able to see the sun from where I live. I set everything on 24 hour time. Wake up in the dark at 5 and it's nice to immediately know AM or PM.

Just hoping to get some seeds from my winter grow so I can carry on with more Kwazulu in the Spring-Summer. Realized I prefer it over the Durban Poison I grew, but only ever actively pollinated the DP (with Kwazulu), so now I have small plants from seed I really hope I actually got from KZ polinated KZ.
The DPxKZ cross is pretty good but has more of the DP “pine-sol” terps than the sweet-berry diaper-funk (yeah, I said it, but it’s quite interesting) terps of the KZ. I really like the KZ high.
High hopes though!
Happy growing
