Hard times outside

I just had to start a thread out there to acknowledge you die hard outdoor growers.Man its work lol. I tossed 8 little 8 inch clones outside 2 days ago and was just curious what my usual inside babies could do in the ground.I went out dug some 12 inch deep holes about 12 inches wide filled them with good rich soil, popped my babies in snuggly and gave a good watering.I checked them today and wouldnt you know it 3 are looking like goners from insects or rodents. The others dont seem to like natural light to much and are looking kind of rough. Its gonna be a lot of work to get these suckers to survive outside. It so much easier to indoor grow so I wanna give you outdoor guys props on keeping them just alive .:hump:

Every year you get a little better a little wiser. and yes, outdoors is tough, but indoors is for pussies ... :D (jk lol). imo, you can learn a lot from the outdoors that you wouldnt necessarily learn indoors.

Outdoors or indoors, both require thorough planning and preperation. The devil is in the detail. Look at beaner's thread and others as well who do it well. They work their ass off to produce the best odds for success. I grew my first indoor crop to harvest and now have an outdoor group going. The outdoor girls are like three times bigger and bushier at this early stage as compared to the indoor grow.

For me it will be summer = outdoor grow winter = indoor

good luck, man.

Well almost a week and all the outside plants are no more. Each 1 was either eaten or did not like mother natures conditions.I have tried like 8 times to grow outside and each time they end in death. Inside is so much easier and reliable. The plants dont seem to like the sun or fresh air but inside with extar hours of light and controlled temps they thrive. I have found marijuana to be one of the harder plants to grow outside as they are not a very forgiving plant and need to be babied 24/7 to get them to grow.

youll see the difference between indoor and outdoor, outdoor is much bigger and better buds. and its easy man, your doin something wrong, its alil more than just throwin a seed out there, a lil not alot

back in the day when i put out a plant or two i cut the top and bottom off of two liter soda bottles and used them as a fence for the first month or so, works very well, but you need to stake them. outdoors is a lottery, the more seeds you plant, the more money, time, planning, research, and hard work you put into it, the better your odds,

ff did you harden your plants off at all? indoor plants wont be able to handle the full light of the sun right away or they will bleach and die. growth tips can literally turn pure white, it's really wierd looking.

Outdoors is the best, yes a crap shoot but hundreds of ways to easily keep the critters off of. The soda bottle is good, marigolds work well for lots of insects and animals, good for nematode control also. I think the longer you can keep in pots and out of the ground your chances go up. Babies from inside should be hardened off in real sun before getting a full sun (lots of difference in the light) just think of the sunscreen you need the first time in the sun for 12 hours. Good Growing
