Harvest and Curing I have got but what to do just before?

Sorry if this is the wrong section but I am approaching my harvest period in the next week or so and have bought a loupe and a hygrometer to try and perfect this. What I don't know however is what I should do just prior. Don't get me wrong I have read a lot but it seems that there is no defined approach. For instance its the last week or so and I have not been heavy handed with nutes so should I flush? Some people say the plant 48 hours of darkness before I crop to allow resin to build up?

This is my second grow and the first was pretty much crop dry and smoke. This time I want killer buds in taste, burn rate and high so what should I do. All help welcome.

Cheers

the taste comes from curing correctly.
flush is up to you, some swear by it others say your starving your plants when they need it most.
i've never noticed the difference personally.
also never done the dark period so can't comment.
just make sure your trichs are either cloudy or 50/50 cloudy amber, callyx's are swelled and leaves are yellowing before chop and you can't go wrong.

its seems the flush and dark period are one of those common cannabis arguments, some swear by them, others say they arent necessary.

if you run under 8 hours light you stop the plant from making new flowers. which slightly stresses the plant to protect her flowers with more resin to help attract pollen as she know its getting near the end ect ect ect. so while you're doing this over 48(ive only ever done 48 hours) hour period why not flush then. the plant no longer needs the nutes in abundance if not at all as its only concentrating on protecting it flowers. so you're not starving of the nutes as the most crucial time. but still getting a 3 day flush.

in organics, i just chop. my gear doesn't taste like worm shit, it tastes like mangoes, with cheese and chocolate. and burns to white ash.

Okay so no general consensus on the best method to employ. Intend to pull earlier than 50% amber but then I will bust out the papuan potency dance. Any attire required?

What strain is it? I know someone finishing some Hawaiian snow around the same time as you and will be trying the 48 hours of darkness as well.

Thankfully with testing labs availible we can start to prove/debunk techniques.

I have read so many posts that say that light stress is the WORST stress you can give a plant..

So if you were going to reveg the plant, I am guessing that the 48 hours of dark would totally make a plant trip balls. If you were going to yank it and finish it may be different.

I intend on revegging, so I am going to pass on the darkness before I harvest.
