Harvest aroma and scent

Hello all I've reached my first harvest and I,m worried that something is gonna go wrong (as I've been sense she was just a clone) . Towards the end of bloom I got indecisive about rather I was gonna go 8 or 9 weeks. I ended up going 8 at the last minute which means I only got 1 week of flush. I'm growing all organic in soil and the strain is pineapple express. Typically this is a very sweet smelling strain but 1 day into harvest for me I'm not getting that sweet smell it's more like a basic plant smell but as I grab the buds and kinda open them I get the smell I'm looking for. My question is, is this just a normal phase (smell wise) in harvest and once I'm done curing the smell will come or did I F up somewhere and it's pretty much a blown deal? I will appreciate any and all comments thanks guys...

Sometimes the buds can have that basic vegetation smell after you trim them. It goes away during drying and the dank smell comes out during the cure.

That's typical. You don't get that great smell unless you do a proper cure. I've had harvests that smelled exactly like alfalfa. Yuck. I cured for a full month and that was some of the smoothest best smelling, best tasting smoke I've ever had. :D

Do a slow dry ,sweat cure , it turns your chlorophyll into simple sugars, you'll get your smell especially cause you went organic and not chemical. If it's still really bad after you dry and cure then you dry the hell out of it and throw in slices of apple into your bag or jar and let the buds suck the moisture out of the apple. Ive only used apple for this butt U can use other fruits as well, as long as your careful

has the same thing with my white rhino, a months drying/curing sorted that out. my bubba kush and og18 dont ever seem to loose there smell, just out and out skunky stinky dank fresh of the stalk, the white rhino still dosent compete even after a months curing (still quite nice though)
