I think you'll be good by the time you leave in August and will come back to some nicely cured bud :blsmoke:
thanks for the reply man!!

so you think they're ready to harvest? or some more time? i was looking again today, and it seems like they need more time... i still don't see much amber that i can tell. i'm trying to determine at what point i HAVE TO harvest to have enough time to start curing before i leave

if someone can please let me know. because if they're NOT ready, then i need to water them today.

Umm my thing is the trichs will still turn a bit once harvested. Also it depends on what high you are looking for man. If alot of the trichs are milky....and just a few amber...and some still clear...its safe to harvest and will give you super good head high. Atleast thats what ive gathered from the massive amounts of information ive read on this site.

thanks man. i think i'm gonna wait some more. i would like a balance mix and want the most potent WW i can get in the time i have before i leave.

i'm going to dry in my grow tent. the buds are pretty small i would say, so i'm figuring at most probably 4-5 days dry time. and then into jars to cure at 60-65% humidity while i'm gone.

I don't think they are ready. I'm not sure why, but most of what I read says it takes like a week of hanging to be dry. In my experience, my plants are dry enough to jar within 3 days, sometimes a bit longer. I like my buds a little on the sticky side though. I guess it depends on the temp and humidity in your drying area. Also depends on the density of the buds. I have a small oscillating fan that I use and it helps a lot. Also, as long as they dry enough when you jar, you only really need to burp them for a few days.

Basically, I jar them when the outside feels dry. IMO waiting til the stems get brittle and snap is too dry. After 12-24 in the jars, the remaining moisture rehydrates the outside. That's when I burp and leave the jar lid open for a few hours. I repeat this cycle until they are the point where I like them. I really don't smoke all that much, so my jars get opened a lot until it's gone. I'd rather have them a LITTLE too moist than too dry. It isn't really something you can set your watch to, but if you harvest a week before you have to leave that should give you plenty of time to dry, jar, and burp to the point where you can leave them in the jars for few weeks you will be gone. Hope this helps.

Thanks man!! That's makes me feel a little less stressed. I use hygrometers so I can keep the humidity Bert ween 60-66%. I think that is optimal cure zone.

Quick question then....... I prefer my buds sticky as hell. Does that mean I should put in jars a little sooner? And maybe slightly higher humidity when drying (50% maybe)? They are SUPER sticky right now. I would like them to keep as sticky as possible through drying/curing

I don't use a hygrometer and I really wouldn't say I'm an expert, just sharing what I've noticed. It's a lot easier to take more moisture out than put it back in if it gets too dry. So if you like them stickier than what you are getting now then you can tinker with your method a little. I almost always jar it up at night before I go to bed and check it first thing when I wake up. Usually I find myself keeping the jar lid off for at least a few hours that first morning, but there were times when I had to pour the whole thing out onto a rack for during the day while I'm at work or something. I think of the jar as like a microclimate. Any moisture left if the bud is going to raise the humidity in the entire jar.

Anyway, those WW are looking awesome man. Who's WW strain is that BTW? Any pics of the entire plants?

those look nowhere near done bro. Don't dissapoint yourself and pull them too eearly.
Nowhere near done?? :( because of tric color? Today when I looked at trics there still isn't much amber, but maybe about 5% amber. How long will it take to get to about 20-30%? thats when I prefer to harvest

I should also mention they are under 400w CMH

Anything I can do to speed things up? Maybe switch to 14 hours light? I figure in order to have enough time for dry and cure in jars for 3 weeks while I'm gone, I will need to harvest by the 20th or so
