Can anybody help and tell me why after drying my crop,I loose almost all the smell.Dried in a vented closet with temp between 60-70,and with a little circulation from a fan.Any help would be appreciated. Thx

when about 80% of the buds were a milky color they were cut and had a real strong smell to them.After the drying process,almost all the smell was gone and hasn't came back even being put into jars.Frustrating

Well if your trying to get rid of some of it for medical purposes,the smell is one of the first thing people look for. If the smell isn't there,your probably gonna get stuck with it.

Did you keep it totally dark in the closet through out the drying period?

Yes i did,with slight ventilation and a 60-70 degree temp

you dried too fast locking in all the hayish smells and so on, and its very doubtful and sad that you will get your taste and smell of the buds back

it gets you high, it doesn't fix stuff. and like i said railing a line of k or coke will also fix my depression, and ease the pain associated with aids and cancer does that make them a medicine....ok maybe the hippie and dumb part was to far but call a spade a spade. pot is a drug for recreational use. Thats why terminally ill patients get to use it like cancer and aids or people with mental disorders, your going to die so this shit makes it easier for you by messing you up intill that time. Its like someone who was diagnosed with cancer at 85 and quits smoking. hacking a pack of buts a day wont hurt now, the damage is done, so seep it up.

They do give you K in the hospital in extreme cases to sedate you for a long period of time if you are suffering from painful nerve syndromes. Also do you really think oxycontin and other narcotics are a safer alternative to marijuana for treating pain? If people are saying it works better for them than other narcotic choices why not let them choose the safer alternative?

Actually, that is incorrect. It is known to have various medicinal properties and it is believed that with research far more could be found.
A Harvard study released on April 17, 2007 showed that the active ingredient in marijuana, THC, cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread. It has also been found to help cure or halt some other forms of cancer. Other types of diseases and illnesses do respond in a positive manner to various elements in cannabis.
If cannabis has no medicinal value why do you think it is that pharmaceutical corporations want medicinal marijuana in it's present form killed, but at the same time want exclusive rights to test it and market drugs they hope to create from it?

First of all, your reasoning is bullshit. Comparing using coke to treat a depression with Cannabis used to treat loss of appetite, pain etc. is just insane.
There are tons of medical substances in use today that don't "fix" anything but still are considered a medical remedy. Like pain killers for example.
Cannabis however has not only been proven to help against pain, but also help sick peoples appetite, which is a REAL medical use, just as much as insulin is a real medical drug.
You attitude towards weed is really poor and your knowledge about it is even worse, the fact that you insult people on top of all this ignorance is just astounding.
And quite frankly, if you continue to do this I will make sure to delete it.
You think there should be done more studies?
Cannabis has been used as a medicine for the past 2000 years if not more, records go as far back as 4000 years showing it's use and yet you aren't convinced?

I said already the hippie and dumb part was crossed the line and the post above is showing THC being used by a pharmaceutical company as a cancer treatment that has been approved in many european countries aswell as canada all info FOR your argument.....im googling shit. and yes way more studies still need to be done that point im not budging on lol but it is being used to treat things. and the attitude towards weed is weed is bad (used by kids to get high) take the THC from it and make something then maybe you have a drug to help people.
