hi there, i just bought this type of soil from the grow store, its called sea soil with perlite, Its analysis is.. 70% organic matter, 55.2% maximum moisture, 1.2% total nitrogen, 0.3% acid(P205), 0.05% soluble potash(K20), it also says organicaly fertilized with fish and natural balance of micro/macro, nutrients and trace elements. and also it has numbers in bigger bold letters under the name sea soil.. 1.2-.3-.05, has anyone ever heard of this soil and if so is it any good..the guy at the store said it was pretty good but i just wanted to see if anyone has acctually used it and see the outcome if it was good or not, so thanks alot hope to maybe here some replies thanks so much!:peace:

This soil sounds like it has all of the neccessary elements for a cannabis plant to thrive in. If two brands of soil have similar or equal nutritional content, then plants will perform in the two the same. Being Sea Soil has all of the elements, as you have desribed it, as great soils like Fox Farm then it should grow cannabis just as well.

Yeah, that seems like good soil to grow in. I'm not sure if it's 100% organic by looking at that picture and reading what you said it has in it, but it sounds like it is pretty close at least. What was the last soil you used and what didn't work about it?

The soil looks solid, but you will need to nute it after the first 2-3 weeks of veg because their isn't enough nutrients in the soil itself. What kind of nutes are you using?

I think he means to make your own compost teas and things like that. That is pretty "advanced" stuff (not really, but its just not open a bottle, measure, & mix). Not sure if thats what he means or not though.

That Iguana Juice are good. Get something else like some Liquid Seaweed for trace minerals, and you will have a decent grow going for you. Also, cut the soil with with about 20-30% perlite for aeration. Just follow Dr. Hornby's mixing instructions with the nutes and you should have good healthy plants. Happy growing!

yes, liquid seaweed is 100% organic, so no worries. One company that makes it is called Maxicrop, I think, and you should be able to find it at the same garden store. It's a pretty common product.
