has anyone grown thai stick? is it suposed to look weird?

i will post a pic soon but im growing 2 different strains, super skunk and thai stick, and the thai is growing all screwey it only sprouts one side of a node at a time and it comes out twisted and the leaves are upside down for a couple days when they straighted out there are different # of leaves some have 3 some have 4 and 5...
is this normal? ive growen acouple times and have never seen this

hey buddy thai stick is really a sativa generally from the thailand area that really was tied to a stick

usually the twisting and contorting you describe are signs of stress also ive seen lots of sativas with weirdly spaced internodes, dont bother with the stick

I was not around in thai stick days (actually I was just wasn't smoking back then) and I've always wanted to get ahold of some Thai stick. I wouldn't care how good it was, but some bud tied to a stick always seemed interesting to me.

Anyway from conversations with a friend who claims to have gotten the shit all the time I would say IMO that your thai stick plant is doing what a traditional one would do. My understanding of it is that the buds were always small and sometimes airy. For this reason the buds were put on all sides of a stick and then wrapped in string. This would make it difficult to tell how large each individual bud was and compressed the sometimes airy/whispy nugs so they were more appealing. I was also told in Thailand when it was more common they would hang the sticks up in markets but I don't entirely believe it.
