I get your point and I can see where it would not affect a lot of the people on this site but for us idiots that bought into all the bullshit they have been feeding us for 50 years , we need the Doctors ( or think we do ) because we are stuck with the “ Pussy Whipped Syndrome “ and don’t know how to get passed it . The smarter section of our society ignored the bullshit and just did their thing
I myself have a lot of distrust for Doctors , I think it is because of what happened to my Uncle Harold when I was just a young kid , Uncle Harold had went to the Doctor because he had a bad case of Hemorrhoids and the Doctor was preforming the normal everyday acts they do on a daily bases and he told Uncle Harold that you may feel some discomfort , Harold said “ discomfort Hell ! it was down right painful “ . On his way home he said I kept wondering how in the hell that Doctor stuck that implement up my butt when he had both of his hands on shoulders ?

Please Doc, answer the questions I asked you? What happens if one of your grandchildren ends up with a bottle of pills? If you are in fact getting more people off them then I owe you a double apology but I still don't see what could be worth gathering over.

On the other hand I have not been to a Hash Bash in years, we used to have to hide our smoke and I'm sure its great to see all the people enjoying some safe medicine.

Taco, he was kidding. He was making up a "narco bash" to try to show us all how foolish the Hash Bash may look to the average citizen who voted medical marijuana in to law.

Bigtaco......I think you might have missed his sarcasm with that Norco party. He was making a bad joke that was missed by most of you guys, lol. That is a fake gathering, he was just trying to make a point that you wouldn't have a festival where everyone gets together and gets fucked up for prescription meds, so why would there be one for Medical marijuana.

I think he clearly has forgotten that marijuana has been used almost exclusivly for recreation and religion for thousands of years, and that the medicinal use on a large scale is relatively new.

That one sure flew over some heads there Bob. Lol.

First of all, you missed the entire point of the original post. Treating norco like a 'lifestyle or community' (unlike medical marijuana it is NOT a community) and doing some of the things we do in this community strikes many, you me the population at large, as strange and not what we are used to when it comes to people that take a particular medication, including marijuana. My point was to show that if we treated norco like we treat marijuana it would not seem right. As we are trying to build a respectable image for marijuana/cannabis and reintegrate it into medical care and society in general. I question the wisdom of a very public 'party' celebrating the 'cannabis lifestyle' when we are trying to promote it as a medicine after 70 years of treating it like heroin. Many are not seeing that point.

You ask a non-relevant question in view of the above. Clearly and overdose of narcotics can and does kill people, something that has never occurred with cannabis. To suggest my analogy pointing out my concerns with the approach of looking at cannabis, at this moment, as a party lifestyle somehow suggests I promote big pharma is not only inaccurate, it is VERY shallow thinking.

And finally, yes, you owe me an apology (but I don't want to collect), because I got in to MMJ working with narcotic addicts as a way of helping them wean off. I use it in my pain management program to decrease the need for narcotics. So in reality, the truth is the exact opposite. I am not for big pharma, and I am not for heavy narcotic use. I've built my practice around both those concepts.

Lord I hate having to explain things to people again and again. Believe what you want. Folks that pay attention get it. Abe has been on the opposite end of many conversations with me, he gets it. Grow gets it. Bloody will never get anything. Doesn't have to do with agreeing, it is understanding the analogy.

Nor was it a bad joke. Yes, it has been mostly used for religion and recreation. Here is where you miss the point. Right now it is used medically, and if we hope to expand that to religion and recreation in the future, we need to engender respect for the legal use today, and that is medical. Do events like hash bash and norco narcosis engender respect for legal medical use?

Wrong, it is still used more recreationally than medically and it always will. If it wasn't for all the recreational users you wouldn't be making money off it right now. Just saying..

While I get the point you are trying to make, it's not going to be received well, except for Bob Harris, he will agree with you 100%.

I am not denying the recreational use. With two exceptions, that is not legal use. Again, I don't know why I have to explain that, I would think based on the whole point of the conversation that would be implied. Medical use is the legal use in Michigan, under certain conditions. That is the framework we have as it is well received by the general public. The point being that we should work to make that acceptable and viewed as a normal thing to do. I am sure you would agree that 'medical marijuana' still raises eyebrows on a regular basis with many people. We need to work on changing that, to make it acceptable as insulin.

This is just one viewpoint and strategy to reach the same goal as those that say 'certify everyone' 'convict no one' and 'free the weed'. The goal is to re-integrate MMJ into society and stop the arrests and stigma.

Ah got it. Sorry you were confused. Most others got it eventually. Would have thought had you been here for years and years you would know how to behave. Didn't say a thing about you, just mentioned my concerns about these 'festivals'. You are the one that acted out.

Next time if you disagree, perhaps state some good things events like this do for the community. That might be helpful and keep it on a higher level than your current approach.
