  • Hi
I have made a pound of bubble hash and it was my first time. I made the mistake of pressing it when it still had some moisture in it. I thought I wanted a sticky gummy bubble hash so I figured this was the time to press it. I had let it sit out for a day or two and have not placed it back a bag. Since the water will make it mould I need to know how to sweat the middle so it doesnt ruin my hash. A pound of bubble took alot of work and stuff to make. If there is anything that can be done let me know thanks.

hey man,you could try breaking it down to smaller pieces and flatten them out so that they aren't to thick,so they will dry faster and more evenly.you may try to put it in a room with a dehumidifyer,if the air is to humid outside or inside.any pics of this massive brick of gooyness lol i would love to see it.it is alot of work to make a pound of good hash.hope this helps in some way.

u fucked it up by pressing it before it was dry sorry. its still warm out u were in a hurry probably should have just put a few gr in the oven on 170 till it was dry enough to smoke and let nature take care of the rest. what a waste of time, money, and trim

I don't understand why pressing it before it was dry will ruin it, as long as you have not seal it in a jar! Just sit it out and let it dry!!

it wasnt too wet when I pressed so I hope that will help. There was powder and tiny little gum balls. I would say that the powder was all dry and the gum balls were just sticky. also I used a 12 ton press and when I did press it there was a little bit of water that came out of it. How will I know if I fucked it up? how many days should I let it sit? Is there any ways to sweat it like we do bud when its drying?

break it back up have it near a heater dry hot air will not only remove the water through convection but also the dry will wick the mosture out through areas of high concentration going to areas of low concentration basic physics. till you think it has dried sufficiently then put it back in your press.. i would love to see a pic of it tho thats a good amount of hash

for the record i think it was a great use of time, money and trim keep on smokin man wish i had a pound of hash haha

sorry OP after re reading i see that its not molded yet??? why not grate it up with a cheese grater or micro planer. let it dry completely for a few days dont need a heat source just spread it out and turn it over in the morning and night. good luck enjoy

w-3-2.jpgw-2-2.jpgw-18.jpg How much moisture is too much in your hash? These bricks are rock hard and do not feel wet to the touch. I also have to struggle to dent them. It wasnt a waste because this was just a test run and even if this batch moulds then its just a lesson. I have a never ending supply of great trimmings and buds that I could make this every day if I had the time. So Im asking not only because I would like to save this batch (if possible) but to avoid such disasters in the future. What would happen if I placed one of these pucks in the oven on low temp?

after 24-48 hours significant color and texture chance usually shows its dry. if you're unsure dry longer, shouldn't take longer than 3 days in the worst humid conditions, I find it dries in 36 hours or less where I"m at, but I usually try to let it go longer just to be safe.
