A guy close to me was raided because his kid told their teacher that their dad was growing tall plants in their basement. He is now in jail and the house was auctioned off by the cops shortly after. Fact. S

My uncle was busted with 22 plants, 1000+ oxycontin pills and other illegal narcotics. He got to keep his house but got 5 years and had to paid almost $200K to the county. He owns almost 200 acres. If your growing enough to be a felony then they can seize your property(at least in my state and its surrounding states.

They have to prove that the items(house, cars, boats, big screens,Rolex's... ect.) were obtained or being obtained(loans) with illegal funds. In other words if you get caught with a bunch of weed and you fall under distribution/cultivation(they usually go hand and hand with one another) charges then yes they can go after your items. In other words if you have a bunch of shit and you cant risk losing then dont be a dumb ass. Use your brain and I'm not saying dont do your thing but keep your numbers low with like 1 or 2 small plants at most........and I'm not talking about 5 lb monsters here. No judge is going to take everything you own if you were really just doing a little for self consumption and personal use. And its really hard to prove that you were funding a home, cars, boats and other toys you may have with 1 or 2 very small 12" tall plants. Ya dig..?... that's the law

They do not have to prove that(it was obtained by drugs) my uncles land was inherited and they still could have seized it. Just like any fire arms you may have will be used for drug deals regardless if it is a family heirloom, or whatever could be a .22 caliber pistol. We all know the police do what they want just like we do.

degree or not we all know "cops lie" and they will clean you out. for example my friend got busted and they took the wedding rings off his wifes fingers and every thing else that was on the prperty. cause it all was bought with the money

This is true. Just to get the record straight I didnt finish my degree but I have pretty good knowledge. This all falls under the asset forfeiture law. Like if you are transporting drugs in a car they can take the car. But like I was saying a lot has to do with the amount. If you are transporting a joint for you and your wife or gf they are probably not going to take your shit. Now if you are transporting 5 lbs welllll its pretty safe to say you are going to have to put your walking shoes on. Same thing goes for your home. Keep it reasonable and you should be ok.

nope. wrong again....

i'm getting amazed at the amount of wrong advice given in this legal section... i'd expect a bunch of lazy stoners to have some smart.... or should I??

in most US states police DO NOT NEED PROBABLE CAUSE to seize private property...... they need probable cause to arrest you, to get a warrant, not to take your shit.... REMEMBER THAT... ALWAYS....
