having sex outdoors

So I have 5 TGA Qush babies going outdoor in beautiful sunny southern california. I want to transplant them into 5 gallon pots of super soil but I need to identify who is having sex with who ( basically kill the fucking males, who are fucking my females). Does anyone know how long until these plants should so sex ?

any help is appreciated, por favor :)

i would say within a a couple weeks, males usually show their sex first, so after the first preflowers emerge, look for that stalked calyx(?) and chop those dicks

i thought this was going to be about intercourse in the great outdoors :cuss:

in which case i would have noted that it only belongs under outdoor growing thanks to the process that is the male erection.

Depending weather there sativa or indica, Males usually tend to be taller even before they show there sex, females usually stay Short and bushy(Cute Shawty's)

very wrong info. There are no physical differences between males and females during the veg stage. They shud start showing sex anytime now since ur putting em outside.

Your info is not much better. There are physical differences between male and females of the same strain. OP wait until your plants get to the eigth or ninth node and take close up pics you can then identify the sex of the plant. keepem green dirrtyd

Accidental double post....

By the way, this thread title was very misleading. I was a little disappointed, to be honest :(

My TGA beans showed sex about 8/9 weeks from initial sprout. By the look of it maybe a week or two? Males usually show first.

What he said! Also, last year on my first time this pic really helped me realize what I'm looking for and the differences visually although basic. On top of this, from what I've read, the stipules (up until I look back at this I thought they were called calyxes?) on female plants will be skinnier and longer, while male plants tend to be shorter and fatter. But the sure sign is seeing pistils/pollen sacks.

Really, cuz any males I ever get of the same strain always look exactly the same as females until the females start budding... and even then from a distance its still hard to tell.

A dirty picture! Now I don't feel as cheated. cn

View attachment 22202442 plants here are male. These are all the same strain. You cannot tell the difference.
It is obvious you are new and dont know what you are talking about . The best growers on this site will back my statements. Take individual shots of the plants with at least 8 or 9 nodes not only me but a few more growers will be able to find the males. It all depends on the quality of your pics. keepem green and short in your case. You arent the only ONE who grows in a major urban city also. keepem green dirrtyd

It all depends on the strain and how familliar the grower is with it. What is qush? A quirkle x kush? Yes your Indica should preflower shortly. As long as you gottem in pots you should move the males a couple miles away and paintbrush a couple lower branches and use your twenty dollar a seed money to bring in new genes next year. I don't know why everyone's so phobic.

Solstice was yesterday. That's the longest day of the year. So putting your plants outside now probably isn't going to induce flowering for a while.
Not trying to hate, just correcting some misleading information.

to the OP, it's strain dependent, but you can expect it to take anywhere from three to seven weeks before plants start preflowering (I've had some sativas take almost 2 months.) If money isn't too tight, just transplant them all. Then you can cull males as they show themselves.
If you find a really nice male, you might even consider bringing it in under a light for a few weeks and collecting the pollen. Then brush pollen onto one of your outdoor female branches and get some seeds for future grows.

???? My outdoor plants are starting to get pre-flowers. Alot of outdoor plants start showing sex at a certain size or age.

thanks bro great advice. I will wait until monday and if no pre flowers show I will transplant them all and hope for the best. I just ordered a tent from amazon for 60 bucks so i might just keep the males and grow them out. and bring in 1 female and pollinate.
