Hay smell when drying

For the guys who dry cannabis perfectly, do you smell hay at any point? I'm at day 3, if I put my nose on the drying bud I can smell faint hay aroma. It's not strong, I have to get in there to smell.

Is this just chlorophyll/other stuff coming out the plant or I'm drying wrong?

Pic of the bud would help my bud never smells like hay at any point. Most common reason to smell hay is bud was picked premature.

Drying to fast. Slow the dry down.
777 was the old perfect dry conditions. 7 days, 70 degrees, 70% RH.
I've got nothing close to that or a nice way to get it. I hang until the popcorn stiffens up, Strip it all off into golf ball nugs. Toss the buds in a closed bucket or can at night. Spread them out on a few trashcan lids for the day and keep feeling them up. :-) still soft and mushy = needs more time out. Stiff and almost crunchy = back in the can. At the end of 7 to 10 days you want to be at 65-62% RH.. Below 55% all bio activity the Cure depend on stops so do NOT over dry, Hot and dry here even in winter and a lot of the dry depends on local Humidity. Cold and dry can be just as bad.

Yep, same here. I cut my plant down 3 days ago; it smelled like ABSOLUTE DANK the first two days. Today, it's sort of green-grassy by comparison to the last couple days. It'll be "grassy" smelling for a couple days, then NO SMELL at all for about 2-4 days. . .. then come trim day, if you did everything right or even just well enough, that smell should be FUCKIN BANGIN while you trim ;)

Smells like wet leaves for a bit while it dries. I can dry in 5 days (not on purpose) and it still smells killer as long as I jar at 60%
