Well if you look carefully just above somebodys signature you will see that faint line? Folllow that along all the way to the right side and a little text saying 'Like' will be sitting ontop of it, but you can only see it when you hover over the post with your mouse.

Quick update.

The replacement Fiji Purple arrived yesterday and was installed at lights on, happily restoring the PAR spectrum. I'm still on the Fiji bandwagon as there is something very unique about this bulb.

The Headband is starting to smell heavily now and the buds are swelling; both of which are a relief. The harvest window is coming up and will likely start at the end of next week. Given the serious nature of the phosphorus burn, my inexperience with microgrowing, and the experimental lights; I will be thrilled to harvest this plant, regardless of its yields.

...

With less than two weeks before harvest, it's time to get the next round started. Today, the veggie bin's final touches were applied - it should be up and running by the time the glue dries.

About 15 Blackberry beans of inconsistent quality are ready to be germinated.

Questions:
Our water's really hard and has a high PH, would it be best to get some distilled water for germination and seedling growth? Does anyone have a suggestion for flowering ~6-8 plants in a small (18"x30") space? Would it be better to do a smaller number? Maybe a bunch of them 12/12 from seed?

Any recommendations for the given specifications would be greatly appreciated!

Gratefully,
otm

Happy Growing!

That is a wonderful combination of lst and scrog, +rep to you mate. Your well water sounds like it would give you trouble with any kind of young plant, that is some of the highest base water I've ever heard of. If you are getting that nice a result under T5's I would think about getting an RO pump. The only trouble is you would be replacing the filters every month or two.

Glad to hear about the new bulb and the upcoming harvest! are you going to harvest parts of it or all at once?

about the next run, 6-8 sounds crazy! do you think they will fit there? maybe you should get tall and thin pots to try and make them single cola plants and do a mini sog.. what about sticking with the scrog and run 2-4 plants? is that an option? I havent seen a 12/12 from seed grow with T5 lights so i dont know but i always prefer vegging for atleast 14 days before flipping. I did see awesome results with HPS lights and 12/12: https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/416589-12-12-seed-thread.html

Thank you, fxbane; I appreciate it. Yes, the water's harsh - RO is looking more and more likely. Thank you for stopping by, tune in for the harvest!

That's a great thread, one of the best 12/12s out there.

1 gallon smartpots fit perfectly two rows by four columns. Or, I was thinking about a big shared bed; ideally wide and short. The tent isn't big enough for tall pots. 2-4 plant scrog sounds awesome... maybe in the shared bed?

Planning for the next grow is always fun!

Environment-
Temps with the lights on: 80-84F
Humidity with the lights on: 35-40%

Feeding-
Water ~ every three days

Notes-
Believe it or not, she's still living. The trichs are coming along and the buds are swelling ever so slowly. Flowering will likely be extended until around the 25th. The pr0fesseur recommended harvesting the tops and letting the lower growth fill in but this may not be possible due to roommate issues, will update as we get closer.

Thank you for viewing, here are some pics.

oh how I love the swollen calyxes, covered with tasty sugary heaven. looking good, oTm. how much do you think she'll yield?

sorry to hear about the roommate issues. roommates are a grower's worst nightmare. well, almost.

In other news...

Ten Blackberry seedlings were dropped into water on Saturday, three of which cracked this morning and have been placed into peat pots. The other seven have been placed in a damp paper towel. Much hasn't really happened with these but I'll post pics as they become pertinent.

There really isn't a plan for these yet; though it would be great to speed up the time between harvests without going hydroponic or HID. A small shared-bed SOG seems like a decent idea and so does a perpetual 1gal smartpot grow. Perhaps this is all overthinking? What this next run needs, is a plan; one that starts early. Does anyone have any suggestions here? It would be greatly appreciated.

...

Looking back on those pics, I'm amazed how bad she's burned haha. Avoiding burns will be part of the next run's plan. :wall:

Happy Growing. Thank you for stopping by.
