its only 15 to 20 mins from chula vista (in San Diego) to Tijuana (expression blvd) than that i have no idea about clubs in San Diego.

No. You don't even need a "card". You just need a doctor's note. It takes like 20 minutes from when you walk in to getting the paper signed and leaving. I didn't even have any real documentation outlining my ailment. The only catch is that dispensaries usually tie your membership into your driver's license and swipe it when you come in for proof of id. Not sure if it would work with an out of state id or not. I would just call a couple dispensaries ahead of time and find out..
