(CBS) PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - A pair of teenage brothers in Portsmouth, N.H. are accused of running one of the most vast and sophisticated drug rings police in the area have ever seen, CBS Boston reports.
Portsmouth detectives say the 15 and 16-year-old boys were running a lucrative business selling a wide range of drugs to classmates at Portsmouth High School, the station reports.
The two were arrested in the apartment they share with their mother. The mother has not been charged in the incident.
The boys allegedly had everything from marijuana to prescription drugs imported from overseas along with sophisticated computers and drug paraphernalia, CBS Boston reports. Their names are not being released because they are juveniles.
CBS Boston reports detectives believe the teens laundered a lot of their income through legitimate investments in an attempt to cover their tracks.
"It's really surprising because this doesn't happen around here," Rose Fecteau, who has a daughter who attends Portsmouth High School, told the station. "You don't expect any of these kids to be doing any of these things. You know some stuff happens, but you don't expect anything that sophisticated."
Police are reportedly not ruling out the possibility of more arrests, either of juveniles or of adults, as they try to figure out how extensive the drug network was.

If i was into weed like i am now, in high school i would defo be making some profit, you have any idea how much they would pay for a q lol you could make double selling to schools, but it goes with a big risk.

I think they realized the profits to be made. and it just got out of control. Im not trying to condone pill abuse esprcially by youngsters (i hate that stuff more than most ppl) but i just meant to point out these are some smart kids. Getting an operation off the ground like that. pretty much a wal-mart for teenage drug abuse. And then investing the money on top of that. And Imagine the millions of tax dollars going to be spent investigating and charging them and anyone involved.
