Heat stress or something else?

It’s pretty warm here in Redding CA, 103-117 this past week. And yes I know black pots suck, it’s all I had at the time.

Can I chalk this up to heat stress? And what do you guys think of the fan leaf? To clip, or not to clip? Thanks in advance.

Did you harden the clone off at all defore planting it in that big pot in the hot sun?

This was going to be the last day of hardening/acclimating, but I’m not thinking so given it’s health. I bring them in to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with adequate lighting before putting them back. When we got to 117, I had them both inside for 4 hrs, as opposed to 3 hrs.

I wonder if folks near the equator brought their weed inside on hot days

Well, I’m a noob, so I thought I’d ask a question for some help ‍ Thanks for the zero help though.

Since they're still so small, I would just grow them a bit bigger indoors first and wait out the high temps, then harden them off gradually and try again outside.

Haven't you heard, the ice caps are melting. We're sliding the goal posts thataway.
