I've been lurking here at RIU and growing since I moved back to Oregon in 2018. I hadn't smoked for decades before that and never really knew much about the plant, but I've always loved it, so the past few years of legal growing have been an amazing experience and long overdue.

I only grow cannabis indoors, but I also grow veggies outdoors and was able to start a small hot compost pile of mostly shredded leaves and cut grass. That plus a worm bin for fresh EWC really changed how my indoor garden operated as I started recycling my soil by fall of 2019. And that's how it's gone since, with good results for a small, personal use garden that is as simple as can be.

I grow mostly from regular seeds I start in FF happy frog (usually) w/ my ewc, and flower in my mix in 3g fabric pots. I take cuts of pretty much everything for fun/experience, most of which get fed to the worms eventually, but I usually have space for a couple "keeper" cuts of something I liked so that if my next round of seeds started show males or intersex or whatever, I can stick a clone in the tent if I need or want to. I keep it to the 4-plant limit in flower due to space and modest needs as well as legality, but I rarely have 4 flowering at one time. Almost always something in flower though. I basically just grow enough to last me until my next plants are ready.

I'm mostly interested in the older varieties, kind of a nostalgia trip for the things I missed back in those days, but not just.

Anyway, I thought I'd start a grow diary for my notes and RIU's general amusement. Should be good for a laugh.

Ya didn't smoke for a couple of decades..........what the Hell is wrong with you ( I'm joking ) . Greetings fellow lover of the herb. I like your strategy...grow enough to cover your head and don't go dry. That's what I do for me and mine . I grow some extra as a security blanket and so I can share with real friends. I grow 12 inside...keeps me very busy. Enjoy your stay .......some members never leave.
