Take a look at these pics. Skunks in 5gal buckets fed @ 1400ppm's runoff is 1000ppm. PH is around 6.8 in soil, 6.5 runoff. Everything was going well until I gave them 1tbs per gal humic acid. GH Diamond Black to be exact.

Just as a trial I put some on my younger clones that just started flower and the ones that got humic acid on them are dying. This stuff stucks so bad, GH needs to put a warning on the label.

Anyways anyone have any ideas on how to make this any better? I pretty much flushed stuff out, then thought it was a def. so ive been feeding at 1400 ppm but it may be a burn. Please help IMG_1101.jpgIMG_1110.jpgIMG_1096.jpgIMG_1080.jpg

hahaha i did the same thing. fuck humic acid i used it once and it fucked my shit up and i just never used it agin.

too bad that shit was expensive. if you find out how to use it without fuckin your plants up let me know.. my guess was to use like 1/4 the nutes it call for because i guess humic acid make the nutes more available to the plants. but i never tried it

Im running holland secret nutes and they call for different ratios of the nutes depending on which week of flower im in, but here's the rundown of their setup.
HS Micro 5-0-2
HS Grow 2-1-7
HS Bloom 0-6-4
Royal Gold(Fulvic Acid) 0-1-0
Royal Black(humic acid) 0-0-1
Super B+ (macro nutrients) 0-2-1

My week 1 formula asks for 2 mls of micro, 3mls of grow, 1 ml of bloom, 8 mls of b+, 10 mls of fulvic acid, and 5 ml's of humic acid per 1 gallon of water. I burned the shit out of my plants with that mixture, so i added a second gallon of water(50% strength of recomendation), burned the shit out of em again after a week of straight water inbetween, reduced it by half again and Im doing alright. So while the recipe from them calls for each gallon of water Im mixing up four gallons and doing ok. 25% seems to be the magic number on this one and I believe its the humic acid as well because before I was using far more nutes and not getting the grown I have this time around. BTW im growing in soiless medium not full hydro, so i mix the nutes and use em to water

i'm bringing that bottle back to the Hydro Store tomorrow, they can give it to someone or dump it out but I have never had this kind of problems, i just spent 5 hours flushing all my stuff again so I hope thats the end of the burn, next batch is looking much better. Only used a tsp per gal vs tbs but im done with humic acid.

With all the hype its got im surprised there arnt more post with people bitching. or people dont realize thats what did it.

I use madfarmer NUTS (nutrient uptake solution) humic acid. It comes in a liquid form, and is OMRI certified. I have never had a problem but i dont run it at full strength i just use it as ph control and it works wonders.

I'm def. telling the local guys at the shop what happened. Ive been doing indoor for awhile, Outdoor before that......... and I have burned plants before but nothing like this. Its a whole other beast.

I guess it would be sick if you had it dialed but I got 5+ oz off the last plant I cut ( and cut it 12 days early!) so I dont think I need that extra boost.

On a side note im stoked on these forums. I was posting somewhere else for awhile and people here seem to know whats up more.

Got some Afghan Kush Seeds coming the next few days!

just an uPDATE, after flushing for 6 hours I seem to have stopped the badness. Note to all growers, think about the catalyst you are using or item to chelate nurtrients.... Some are not made to be mixed with hydro nutes. It will burn and kill your plants.
