HELP! 3% PEROXIDE IN HYDRO!

Update: After more or less 20 hours in the 4 ppms chlorine bleach solution, the plants entered a state of droopiness that only worstened with hours passing.
So, it surely work as an extraordinary and temporary patch for problems but not compatible with plant life i think, in my case

They will look worse before they get better. Hope you calculated the dosage right. Did you use the dilution calculator? 4ppm is safe and doesn't do anything other than sterilizing. They however need time to recover and a lost of roots that were already dying are being broken down with new forming.

There's other people experiencing the same thing, droopiness followed by green healthy growth with leaves praying. Dim lights or raise them to help them recover.

Yes thats the one. I think the percentage has changed now an on the bottle you pictured. In the old bottles it used to be 17% an was called oxy plus. I think I was using 2.5 - 5 ml in every 10ltrs of mixed ph'd feed. Just use as directed or at half the directed strength.

After less than 12 hours with 0,1 ml/L bleach, roots on the seedlings are looking white again and the bit of slime had nearly completely disappeared. (Maybe they look a bit skinny, wrinkled and twisted compared to when i use bennies, but still healty) Crazy how fast it worked. :weed:

Someone had problems with root rot once. So I got him to soak his roots completely in water with a higher dose (think 15ml per 10 ltrs) of oxy-plus as directed for root rot on the leaflet. All the roots started to fiz an bubble. After about a 15 mins soak we removed his plants an the roots were all mainly white again.

Hydrogen peroxide should be available in any pharmacy or paint store. I'm able to buy 35% strength for painting purpose locally, never used it in hydro though. Bleach is more effective.

Do you know if UC Roots is bleach? Sure smells like it but I know that stuff will obliterate root pathogens and keep them roots pearly white.

Chlorine messes with the nutrient profile, the ion has a highly hydrated form and a tendency to rival, even lock out other anions.
In theory yes, however not in practical application. It's a tertiary nutrient in most plants if in right concentration.

They do the same thing really only difference is application frequency. Hypochlorite (bleach) has longer half life and residual effect but they both contain the same stuff, sodium hypochlorite get broken down to hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite ion in water.

I guess I was always paranoid of using bleach. Im sure a relative of mine used to pour a bit of bleach in some of my plants an kill them. Im not a 100%sure of this as my memory can be a little fuzzy at times. But im sure I have tried bleach in the past an from what I remember the plants start getting stressed after awhile. Im sure they were getting kind of floppy (not sturdy) an the roots would actually become bleached. Once im sure I let the roots dry a bit an checked those too an they to were all brittle. But it might have been accumulation, or too high dosage or maybe other chemicals in the bleach. But im sure after that an thinking my one of my relatives was killing some of my plants with bleach it made me too paranoid to try it again.

Pouring is not a measured dose, you need a 5-15ml dosage pump to measure correctly. Either that or use a dropper, that works best for smaller volumes though.
