Hey erry body! Need some help. The clones I got from a co-op aren't doing well after the transplant to soil. I have 1 sour grapes, 4 deep chunk x strawberry cough (doing the best) and 3 sweet tooth (the shorter wider ones). I have a pretty bright room with two 400w mh lights in it. the lights are about 8in from plants. Its cool with a temp around 72f and humidity in the 30-40% range. I exhaust the room for 15min every 15min. (passive intake) also I have a damp towel hanging in the room to help boost the humidity. I watered all 8 2 gallon buckets until heavy a day ago. I am using Fox Farms Ocean soil and watering with a bit of root booster and a 1/4 dose of sinse grow a & B. Is that enough water and nutes or too much?

Whats going on?? Please help, as this is my first grow!!
Thanks a bunch.

I'd pull the lights up another 10" at least, they're prolly gettin shocked a bit. Also some of those cubes look like they are shallow. You mite as well put em in a 3 gal pot now and set them so the cube is around 1" below the finish height of your pots.
Also go 1/4 strength on the nutes till they perk up. Hope this helps.

You should keep a thermometer in one of the pots, so you know what they're feeling. Some of those pics looked a bit like nute burn to me, but I'm no expert on nute burn. Consider using organics. Make sure you know the temps on the plants.

-edit - oh i didn't see that you had a MH light. Stick your hand around the tops of plants. make sure it feels nice

Thanks! I felt the soil might be a low. I originally did that so I could put some humidity domes over them. There in a real tender state so I think the transplant is going to have to wait. Do you think I should do a flush?

felt the top of the canopy. feels pretty cool maybe 72ish. I need an accurate thermometer. Prob got some root burn going since I used the fox farms ocean forest soil and then used some sinse grow right away :(

Thanks me too. I just wasn't prepared for the clones, I've got a good room but it wasn't dialed. Lesson learned.

I agree I would slow down on giving them nutes especially if your using a root booster. Slow down on the nutes until they establish themselves in the soil. The soil should have enough nutes to feed for a few on their own. Let us know though what the results are if that helps. Sometimes if you do that and spray them with some cold water, if they perk up a bit it is probably just that. Hope this helps.

Yeah, your in FFOF? That stuff has enough nutes in it to keep clones happy for some time man. Back off the nutes, flush, let them dry and see if they start to look a bit better. Make sure your pH is all good too. Without proper pH, they will never get back on track.

Sounds good, thanks a ton. I have them on 24/7 do you think an 20on 4off or an 18/6 would work a bit better?
I'll spray em in the next bit. If the pots are heavy you think I could wait till tomorrow to flush?

Yeah I've got 3 good ones, that are lookin strong. I've got a veg area in the works w/ 150w MH and some t5's that the plants should like much more. Then the current cab would just be for flower. Cuz its bright as fukkkk

Well, when was the last time you watered? How long does it normally between watering cycles?

Lighting, I use flouros in veg so I keep my lights on 24 hours a day. I read in Jorge Cervantez's grow bible that he used to think that 18/6 was best. Now he says (in his book) that 24/0 is actually better (namely under flouros) because the amount of energy you save is not worth the amount of growth you lose during the dark cycles.

You may not want to go that route with a 400 though. So I'd say 18/6. Also, may want to bring your humidity up to around 50% since you are in veg.

EDIT:

Yeah, those are young plants...that much light that close is not doing them any good. Switch to your 150 and t's

Thanks Bro. I'm gonna cut it back to 18/6 cuz i dont have the veg area totally set up yet. Damn.
You can go ahead and leave the cycle 24 if you want. I was just saying for $$ reasons is all. Ya know, trying to save a brother a dollar. ;-)

Leaving them on will help dry things out faster for sure. Like I said man, its what your most comfy with. The plants will be fine with 24/0 or 18/6 since you are in veg still.

At least you live in a place where you can get clones. It would be terrible if you grew them to that size, only to kill them.

MAN U NEED TO STOP WATERING THEY LOOK SAD AND WATER LOCKED. IF IT WERE ME I WOULD SAY F THE DIRT AND FIGURE OUT A HYDRO SYSTEM. RINSE ROOTS IN ROOM TEMP WATER REALLY GOOD WITH A CAP OF PEROXIDE PER GALLON
AND PUT ON A WATERING SCHEDULE SO U DONT DROWN THEM BRO. TOO NICE TO LET DIE. CHECK OUT MY GROW https://www.rollitup.org/members/jray2469-200065/albums/well-i-wanna-share-my-nyc-deisel-grow-you-all-10574/

WAS GONNA GO WITH DIRT THEN MADE A HOMEMADE HYDRO SYSTEM CHEAP. SO EASY TO CONTROLL AND SAVES STRESS OF ALL THE DIRT BS AND PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH IT. THE WEED WONT TASTE LIKE DIRT EITHER.

looks like heat stress to me or some sort of rooot problem try changins soil knock off most off of old soil and use fresh high quailty potting soil pro mix happy frog get what you pay for make sure soil is light and drains good good luck
