Help, have a few basic questions on building a cab

I'm trying to build a small grow cab using two Rubbermaid containers. I had a few questions on building that I was wondering if someone could help answer.

1) What's the best way to mount a PC exhaust fan (glue? sealant? duct tape?)

2) Is it better to put the exhaust fan on the inside or outside of the box?

3) What's the best way to cut holes in the containers? Dremel? Box cutter?

Thanks for any help!

1 - I would use zip ties.
2 - Inside with against a foam type insulating tape to prevent vibrations is stealth is an issue
3 - Drill holes then use a good scissors. I would not use a knife.

The key to a good cabinet grow is keeping the plant small and make sure you have more than enough ventilation to keep temps in check for whatever lighting you use. Use plenty of fans. Computer fans have bullshit CFM ratings if they have to draw against any resistance.

Don't forget smell will be an issue. You will need odor control eventually.

Thanks! I didn't think about the vibration part... I'll definitely look into getting some insulation tape to help with that.

How exactly do you use zip-ties to attach the fans? Cut a few small holes around the exhaust-hole to string the zip-ties through?

drill holes at the mounting points on the fan. should be one in each corner. a total of 4.
