Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

Yeah, the space is still being allocated in a garage and isn't moving as quickly as I'd like. I've pretty much decided to do modular bars, or maybe a couple 4x4 fixtures. Some funding is going to have to come from this run to help pay for all the parts though. If I'm going to go with all cxb3590, that's a nice little chunk... The devil is in the details.
Sounds familiar. I'm upgrading my space as well, waiting for parts. I went with bars as I'm a bit of a fiend for modular components. They're just so much more handy; turns a conglomeration of odd bits into Lego for Hydro, LOL

It's nice going into the build, having a great idea of what I need, per sq/ft though. Now it's a matter of seeing what the available floorplan will be.

If cxb 3590 @1400mA will really run (without big efficiency loss!) For 50000h and maybe 100000h @700mA...10/20years(30d vegg + 70d bloom, non stop!) because most of us cooled so well their cob and driver I guess most of us will keep it that long!
Well Rdv in 10 years...I hope...lol! Well! Maybe in 20...I plan on run them @700mA (23w) and when cxc will be out...350mA!?!?...it never stop!
Have a great day ★

I have CXA now, if CXC comes out maybe Ill jump over the CXB atogether

Will depend on price. I'd be all over CXB if it caused it's price to dip to around $30 a chip. Cost vs. performance ratio analysis
BAM! The satisfaction of a good purchase well made lingers far longer than the pain of its initial cost. These chips are plenty good, and cheaper just makes them better.

I just need to appreciate my CXAs for a while before I think about what else I could have or will buy I think.
Thinking about the future and Ihavent hung this one yet.

I'm right there in that same boat.
I feel you guys. Honestly, the CXAs at 1.05mA is a really nice spot, imo. They are still good enough to pay for themselves in a year, and I don't know about you guys, but I don't have any plans on quitting any time soon. They're worth it, and it's nice to be at the cutting edge on something again!

I have 6 cobs on the 8x29" hs and am planning to add 4 more on it to use in a 2x4" tent.
No more big grows for me for a while.
Tent shopping right now on eBay.
I am going to add a 2nd driver and grab a pot and reap some efficiency at a lower current, but be able to raise it up if needed.

Having discovered that I'm not saving any electricity with my 'power saver' lamps, I'm mad enough to walk away from HID lighting for horticulture forever.

If this first panel works even just as well as what it's replacing- let alone better- it's worth it to me already.

I'm trying to be realistic. Even if I get 80-90% of the yield on 30% less power and way less heat with a better tuned spectrum, I'm THRILLED.

What efficiency level did you choose? The higher that number, the better your setup will do.

I understand your desire to 'be realistic' and I was tempted by this line of thinking as well. This nagging thought kept coming back that if I can already handle 4800W (I've recently come to find out closer to 5500W!) worth of HID, I could handle the same in COBs so there was no reason to skimp on watts installed.

So I listened to that nagging thought and held total watts dissipated constant while simultaneously NOT skimping on efficiency... yes it was costly. But, now I feel strongly that I'll see a substantial performance improvement in both yields and quality.

I did finish a couple of bars that are in the room with my sig. This is my second run, and finances were tight. I had someone offering to back and give me space, but it's turned into a wait and see, a bit. Construction has barely gotten off the ground. I want to build a couple more bars to add more plants into the room next round, but a lot of the funds needed to push forward will have to be reinvestment. So for now, sit back and watch my journal. I'll do an update when I get home tonight :joint:

I have much less work with my cxb grow than with my 600hps grow...I choose only amendment for both...I had to add grow nutrients under hps...it is so green under cob without!
Is anyone know what is this new advertising for green screen plant id thing...! How it work?...microscope and hormones mesure?
Have a great day ★
