Help Me Decide Which Lights

Unfortunately I have to downgrade from my 3x3x6 secret jardin tent with a 400w mh/hps to a homebox xs tent that is 1.9x1.9x3.9. I am having trouble deciding which light system to purchase with my homebox tent. Here are my thoughts:

-I will not be using any light higher than 250w because I believe electricity in my apartment next year will be expensive.

-I will be using my 4" 171cfm fan with 4" carbonaire filter for exhaust

-Option 1 is to purchase the sun system 2 250w hps which measures at 22.4" long, but my concern is that I would not be able to use the air cooled fitting because my tent is 23.5" and the air cooled fitting adds another 1" to the reflector length. I'm not familiar with how much heat the 250w hps would give off, so if you guys think I can get away without using the air cooled fitting, please do let me know.

-Option 2 is an exception to the 250w or lower rule. Plan is to purchase a sun system 150w hps and a 175w mh and run those two side by side using a 4" 171cfm fan as exhaust. Again, not sure how much heat these two combined would give off.

Thanks for all your help in advance.

I'm going to be glued to this thread to see information because I'm also trying to choose a perfect light setup for my 72"Hx36"Wx18"D cab

I have made my decision after talking to a few people in live chat. Using 2 separate lights means you will have more heat than using just 1 light. A 150w hps can grow decent plants, but it seems that most people use secondary lighting like CFL's alongside their 150 watters. Therefore, I'm going to go with the 250w hps and if for some reason I cannot control the temperatures, I'll have to uprade to a bigger tent so I can use the air-cooling option.

Definitely go with the 250w hps, but make sure your ventilation is adequate. You should be fine with a 250w hps or even higher for your size space. Again it depends on your setup. Good luck with your selection. Go with the biggest light you can fit in your space. I would be using my 400w, but electricity is going to be expensive living with 2 other people.
