help me find out what these are

anyone know what these are , found them in my run off trays in some water not sure if they have come through with the run off or if they have made there way out from the medium ....

Its coco in 6lt air pots ... this is a pic of what was in the run off ... im thinking gnats or thripes but anyone who can be specific ??

Those look like the larvae of thrips. I would think they are being washed out of the drainage holes and into the tray.
They do not like to get wet, ime. They run out of the drain holes and tops of pots when watering plants, with surprising speed.

Western US? What's with all the thrips posts lately?

Yep, Springtails...and they are a benefit to your grow...garbage men at work...

ah cool , thats good news then lol , how do they get in the medium in the 1st place ?? its strange as i have 4 plants and there only in 1 pot ...

I wouldn't think would be coming in with bags of coco... but who knows.
during dry seasons they will come in from outdoors in search of moisture.
