Help me plan my next grow

Okay, I am about to finish my first ever grow and I am kind of stuck on planning the next. My only real problem is space, I live in a condo and I an extra closet that I use for my flowering space. The problem really is the closed it like 8 feet wide but only 2 foot deep, so I can't get as many plants as I would like under my light. I have a 400w hps so I figure I can get like 3 or 4 plants in 3 gallon pots under there, or 6 or 8 in 1 or 1.5 gallon pots but anything more would be too crowded I think.

So what do you all recomend? 3/4 medium sized plants, or 6/8 small plants? Should I lollipop, setup a screen and train them, or just LST?

At the moment I am just grownig bag seed, and I am going to try to clone a couple branches off some plants I have now but they were also bag seed. I don't want to spend money on good seeds until I have my grow worked out. I am just trying to brain storm, any advice is appriciated but telling me to get a 1000w or like find a new space to grow in isn't going to be too helpful to me at the moment. Although I do have plenty of CFLs I can use as supplemental, I just don't want to go overboard with that. I grow in soil at the moment, I may change that in the future, but probably not until I feel more comfortable with my skills.

i work in a closet about the same size...i have 4 plants in 3 gal buckets except one is in a 5 gal...but anyways this is my second grow and im trying a scrog...just to maximize space you know...but i think i could maybe get away with 6 plants

but you could also do a sog with the clones in smaller pots and lollipop

its ultimately up to what your willing to do and which way you can convince yourself will work best...good luck buddy :joint:

I think the screen may be the best way for me to go on the next grow, I have some little baby gate thing that I think would work perfect. But I really want to experiement some, I know I don't really know shit in the grand scheme but if I want to I gotta try stuff.

Do you find that using the screen allows you to cover more area with the light? What sort of reflector do you use?

my babies arent there yet for the screen i just topped one a few days ago...once they begin the get a few branches going im going to set it up.
i do think its going to do great things though. seems if i can fill the screen with branches the light covers the area great and to have an even canopy sounds good.

its really one big experiment for me also...i just got my hps had flouros my first grow so im looking forward to this

as for the reflector, i dont know what kind. its nothing special simple 4 bend

Did you get your HPS from HTG supply? Sounds like we have pretty much the same setup then, do you have a grow journal going for your new grow or plan on starting one?

hey LemonHerb i put up a pic of what it looks like at the moment in my gallery
plants still have a little growing to do before i can start to weave them around

im starting to think its going to be a bitch once the screen starts to fill up because its going to be hard to get to the two plants in the back...but maybe leaving a little room between the pot and wall will help.

but overall seems like its going to be fun
