Ok I know u can LST by tying down the main stalk.well my ladies have been topped. I'm working with a really small area and they're mostly sativa.They are 13" 2days in flower. Is there any way i can apply this method(tying down) to my girls.If so will it slow it down please hurry before stalks get to hard to bend without hurting them. thanks for the help. this site is good for beginners, thanks a lot!!

Not the best idea but.....

Yes you can if you are worried about space. The trick will be
putting ties where bud is not going to grow right away. Tie it
down wait 2-3 weeks, untie it and it should stay, You will have
some extra colas out of the deal as well.

Keep us posted on how it goes!

lol, I'm only laughing in sympathy:mrgreen:, I've got the same problem!
I didn't start flowering till 18" with mine, you can imagine the mess I'm in.
But, the reason I'm posting is that I've started to tie them back and have gained about 10" in 3 days (I'll post the pics in a view min.)
I think it's important that you don't tie down were bud sites may come in, like the above post states. I don't use string, it's a 18 gage single strand wire with plastic around it, it doesn't cut in to the stems and it is very easily adjusted!
You can check the pics out in my thread under hydro (my first hydro w. pics)

Good luck, Unity:peace::joint::peace:

Unity, has that been topped ? what kind of light r u using? DId it slow it down any?
Yeah, I topped it twice which gave me six main stems:mrgreen: I wouldn't say it slows it down:mrgreen:, but you can get creative with where you lead the stems:joint::joint: I kind a take it one day at a time, I have another 8-9 weeks left, only time will tell, I wish us luck brother!!!
I'm using a 600hps
You know if it gets unmanagable I just top it again as needed, my hydro shop guy says it's not a problem. I sure want to hold on to all my potential budsites though, lol!!!
