there are about 7 plants in one pot, if i transplant i will put them into the ground... i dont know if they are male or female, i was told when i cut out the males it would mess up the roots of the females and theyd die if theyre in the same pot will this happen?

You really shouldn't have that many plants in one pot, not even two. Are they big, and have lots of roots? If so, I would just put the whole thing in the ground and when you see a male just cut it at the base of the stock. Someone else may have a better idea.

I conflict with people a lot with what I am thinking. If you are early in the crop, and you can not safetly seperate these plants start over. If you have 3 out of the 7 being female and you kill the males, the roots have nothing to do but rot and cvause trouble.

NEVER!!!! I mean NEVER!!! put more then one plant in a pot. If one plant gets a decease, then they all automatically will have it..

16 OZ plastic beer cups do not cost that much money, and you can grow a 10" plant in one very easy, then tranplant to 3 gallon GROW BAGS.. I will never use pots again. GROW BAGS ARE THE SHEET!!!!:peace: Same thing as a pot, but it is a strong plastic bag with holes in it. When you need to tranplant or what ever, you just place it inside the larger bag and snip the smaller.. SO DAM EASY, And CHEAP..

well whats done is done...

here's what i would do;

take 2 clones from each plant, label them so u know which plant they came from...

sex the whole pot as it is, don't seperate...

when u know what the sex of each plant is, throw the pot away and toss the corrosponding male clones..

then you should end up with all females ready to plant in their very own pots ;)

hope this idea helps..
