Help please

I Was given some starter plants that i have been moving from indoors to outdoors as the weather permits before I transplant to the outdoors fulltime. I'm told the soil is miracle grow. They were lush green when I got them, after a week they started to turn pale/yellow. I've only used a spray bottle to water them every 3 days, ph was unchecked until Saturday when I got a ph meter. I have not added Any nutes. Any help/thoughts or diagnosis would be appreciated. I'm a newbie at this and feel terrible about this. Thanks!

I have not attempted a slurry test yet. That's on the list of things I need to learn how to do.

If your going to test soil pH a slurry test is the way it should be done. Don't join the crowd testing runoff because soil runoff pH is inaccurate and does not give an accurate measurement of the actual soil pH at the root zone. The latest fad these days is to test soil runoff and then use that reading. I don't know where it started but I imagine youtube grow video's had much to do with it. youtube is a terrible place to get grow information.
