I'm still fairly new to growing but my understanding is that using synthetic (salt) nutrients can cause salts to build up in your medium and block uptake (lockout). I would use feed, water, water, feed. For the feed cycles, use a really low dose of nutrients (say 1/2 what I said above) with plenty of runoff Let them dry well. Do that for a while then ramp back up to normal feed strength.
