Help Plz???

Hello fellow growers. I'm in a bit of a pickle ATM. I have 1 mj sprout all good and healthy under 1 12w cfl.. Will this help the sprout grow or am I just wasting my time? I have too wait for a week so I can buy some bigger cfls. But will this 1 cfl do anything?? Cheers
 
Yes it will keep it alive, you won't propably get any noticeable growth untill you get more lighting, remember to keep the light .5-1.5 inches away from top of the plant. Just water it lightly(when needed, ie. container is light compared to when watered) untill you get more lights, don't use any nutes yet.

1 cfl for a baby seedling is perfect. it will out grow that very quickly but it would be very good light for 1 week for 1 baby sprout/seedling .

And like rio said the most lumens come out from the sides of the cfl not the bottom

sure you don't have a 35w lying around? that would be better and are still a common household size
 
Also. It starting too get yellow on the second set of leaves. I don't think this is healthy? Sorry for being noob but my first grow. Thank you for your time

wait it has 2 sets of true leafs? if so you are gonna need more light pronto I was talking about a seedling that just broke dirt. Not like its gonna die but it will grow very very slowly under your current light.

What do you call the second set of leafs the bottom leafs?

What soil is it in?

How much do you water?
 
Hey Ryan. Yeah the two leaves at the start then the mj ones just started but looks yellow. I water once every 2 days and using hortico organic soil. Plz tell me if I am doing anything wrong, as I want too know as much as I can.

is it yellowing from the tips or is the whole plant just a lighter shade of green?
 
If you want an idea for a cheap setup I think 3 of these bulbs and that floor lamp would work. Just make sure the lamp can handle 150 watts . Would cost only $ 70

I think you are giving it too much water.. wait for the dirt to pull away from the edge of the pot before you water again... Little plants cant drink water that fast. And if you have it in an overly big pot you need to watch the over watering.
