I harvested all of my girls about two days ago and hung them up. When i check on them last night i noticed that there were spider mites on them, although i did not have a problem when they were still up. The mites havent really started any webs yet but i can surely see them crawling all over the stems.

Doesnt seam like there are many but Im still VERY WORRIED that it might effect my outcome. I have been blowing them off of the stems untill i could get on here for some help. Also it looks like they are mostly staying to the tip of the stem and arent really near the buds.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE ASSIST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

most will crawl up to where you cut the stem, when hung upside down.
You had mites, but didn't see them. It's common.
Before I harvest, I get some house lights in the room and spray some water
this gives me a clear answer to weather or not I have a mite issue.
These days I check weekly for signs of mite(just flip over ALL fan leaves)early in flowering.
otherwise, normaly, by the time I see them it's over run and I have a battle on my hands.

Do you have a vaccuum with a nozzle attachment? I'd somehow gaurd the buds (hand w/ spread fingers? Cook's splatter screen?) and try to suck 'em off before using any liquid. I had spider mites on some of mine post harvest but once the vegitation started to dry out, they bailed. I haven't looked super carefully w/ the m'scope though. My fear was wet stuff getting in there and causing rot during the cure process and/or busting up so many trichomes that I'd lose some of the potency with handling - or using compressed air (from a compressor, not a can).

If you have access to a scope, look - and/or gently shake the hanging buds over a white piece of paper and see if anything comes out. Those boogers are almost impossible to see w/ the naked eye. I really hate them.

Good luck! :(

Funny. I just went to check my plants after reading this thread and I got the mites too. Oh well, spray, spray, spray away.

Get some dry ice and put it in a rubbermaid box places your weed in there and put it in the freezer, should kill them suckers.
