All that means is that you've been wasting a good portion of the silica you're adding. This is basic chemistry, not opinions.
Both...The manufacturer states to add the silica first, then cal/mag if you use it, then nutes lastly....and also, I totally fucked an aeroponic setup by adding Silica to my existing reservoir, and I had even diluted it in 3 gallons of RO water before adding it to the existing 100 liter res.. Came down the next morning and all 8 of my mister nozzles were plugged. I changed them, and the next day the pump was plugged. It caused a huge amount of problems.
Any info you can link me to? Custom hydro nutrients .com, a lot of bigger operations buy from him, he’s pretty well educated, informed me it doesn’t really matter when I had asked a while back..
Was it silica that plugged the pump? Silica is white and slimy (when wet)
I will also adjust the ph after adding power si-it normally drops it down into the 4's after mixing, so I get it back to where my water(6.7) is normally at.
