So here we are sick of paying high prices for our chosen medicine and bit by bit we have started to learn, and hopefully you guys out there can help, we are at day 35 but will show you what a strange upbringing these have had!
Always willing to learn
Got some really bad advice at the start, hopefully we have managed to turn things round!
I will start from day 1 and keep this updated!!
My technical terms made need translating into things folks understand as we are genuin newbies, lots of pics to follow :)
We bought our seeds from Seeds supreme, dutch based.. very speedy delivery and discrete .. we are in the UK.....

Planting day 1 ... 15th oct 2016
So off we go....
Already conflicting info, do you put them just in damp towels in a warm place, or try the distilled water and wait for them to fall to the bottom which is how we started
We put the seeds in distilled water for about 18 hours, and then tapped them down and they sank to the bottom
We then put them in wet paper towels for the next 24 hours and this is how they started life....
And into mini rockwool we went

Onto day 5 we go, and things looking ok, was worried they looked ''stemmy'' but apparently this was ok, was using a lower veg light as suggested but later we found out they should have gone right under the more powerful sodium types....
We took the lid off on day 5..
First 2 days we kept the oulet totally closed as advised?
next stage is to think about potting .......

Sat 22nd oct .. day 7 after planting transferred to big pot on day 5
We've decided to go organic and are using Bat poo..... :)
Now the advantage of writing this as we have gone in flower is I can ask advice of what we did wrong!!
Already I'm learning with autofems, you plant straight into the big pot at this stage, we didn't and later stressed them for a day or 1....
Any thoughts?
we were feeding them formulex ... we used bottled water to make sure they grew strong... thoughts...?
Again, being newbies we pretty much screwed up by overfeeding them... actually flooding them
But true to the reviews, AK48 is forgiving!

14 days from seed
We've already spent a few £$£ on stuff, maybe over £100 on various bits & bobs including a veg light which really we perhaps shouldn't have been using!!
The big hits yet to come....
But so far they look ok to the untrained eyes!

Day 28
Got the plants in a 2.4m x 1.2m tent under 2 x 600 watt bulb....we have the bulbs set at 75% from advice.... thoughts?
small fan heater keeping tent warm, with
Having now been told we should not have been repotting autogrows we have taken the decision to leave our 4 x AK48s in the smaller pots... damn??
plants stressed first night they were put in, but soon recover....
now feeding them pant magic magnecal+
Not sure if they yellow on the leaves is due to over watering or stress...

looks like you're doing ok. you say the leaves are yellowing but we can't see under the hps, take pics of the plants under regular lights.
you're right, you shouldn't transplant autos, but live and learn. if you have a couple in very small pots, you can transplant them, but be very careful, you want to damage the roots as little as possible. it would be worth losing a day or two to transplant shock, compared to growing a badly rootbound plant all the way to harvest.
i don't like vegging under a hid light. i prefer t5s, as close as you can get them without burning. i find that if i veg young plants under a mh, when i move the light close enough to not get stretch, they burn, if i move the light far enough away to stop the burn, they stretch. once they get 4 or 5 sets of leaves you can put them under hid, they need to toughen up a little first.
otherwise looking pretty good. i think i'd put a little more perlite in your soil, to improve drainage and aeration. and don't spray your plants with the hid light on, either take the plant out till it dries, or spray under normal lights and keep the hid off till they dry. its easy to burn spots under mh, the little water drops act like magnifying glasses and burn little holes in your leaves, which are ugly, and leave it open to infection, as well.

Thanks Roger, some real top tips there... watched so many videos and read so much its great to finally do the real learning!!
1 of the 4 is really flowering great but the others are 4-5 days behind but flowering slowly.... is this normal?

cheers again for the help, very much appreciate it

yeah, if they're all getting the same treatment, they'll even out eventually. you always have one superior plant and one thats a little runty, thats just the way it goes, but in general by the end they're usually fairly close to each other

Back again and our first grow of AK48's are on day 41 and our 2 free Orange juice seeds are at day 34....
AKs all at various flowering stages, one has about 30 flowers on it and going strong, the other 3 appear to be a week behind but no concerns as they are still growing and about to explode into flower...
Any ideas what date approx we will be looking at? think we are missing an xmas crop!! boo!!!
They are about 68cm high... Anyone hazard a guess of what yield we can expect? the 4 plants have easily one meter squared + to grow in ....
we bought a PH meter which is reading 6.8 and watering much more sparingly !

posted a couple of the strong flowering plant.... and one of the other growing strong, but not into full bloom yet

How we looking? :) TYIA

Looks like you are doing OK. Hard to tell under hps.

I always ant straight to medium and in final pot for auto flowers. Cannabis growers and fifth grade science class are the only ones to use paper towels to sprout seeds.

Use veg nutes the whole grow or at least until stretch has stopped.

Those things combined will increase your yield with autos.

How long is the plant advertised to take start to finish?
Hi !
Ours started flowering on day 32
From what I have read ....
We can expect them to be in flower for 50-65 days
We are on day 42 from seed ... so you will help me work out my own question here!
we have 40-55 days to wait but will endeavour to give updates and seek help where needed!
40 days from today would be January 5, 2017 aghhhh!!
