Help!!!What's wrong with my babies?

I am doing my first grow, using CFL (I know everyone says to use mh, but they are not easily available here). ANyways, I put the germinated seeds in soil 12 days ago, as of 9 days ago, they all sprouted and started shooting up nicely. Now, however, all of the leaves are curling downward ad back in towards the stem, they look like maybe they do not have enough water, but that is just what I get from reading on this site. Any ideas?

I water them once a day (I know most people say less, but the soil was drying in that time,I also have them under light 24 hours/day)

I have not given fertilizer yet, only purified water. What am I doing wrong?

Possibly watering them too much? not enough?

Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Probably too much water..seedlings I water once every 3-4 days, but I do give one spray daily just to moisten top soil.. seedlings need to look for water to grow good roots... Personally I don't do 24 light.. I like some dark time.. IMO they just seem to do better.. Luck.

Yeah like the rest say over watering. How big are your pots? And just because it's dry on top does not mean it needs water. Let them dry out and then water. This will make the roots search for the moist soil and help develop strong roots :D

Great, thanks guys. I think you are right, too, about them still being wet on bottom, I will wait a few days and let them dry out and then start watering less often. Thanks for all the info!
