Help, why are my buds so small? :(

I've looked around at other pics of plants after 35 days of 12/12, and their buds all look much bigger than mine. Any idea what might be wrong? I'm wondering whether I've LST'd it too much (I continued to tie down all the way up to 3 weeks into flowering).

Here's some more info on my grow:
Strain: White Widow
Veg'd: 25 days
Flowering: 35 days of 12/12
Lighting: CFLs (around 14 of them... half 26W and half 42W)

what do you water them with? they look healthy but stunted.
I've been watering with watered pH'd at around 6.0-6.5. Been using Fox Farm Big Bud and Tiger Bloom (1/2 strength), every other watering... and each watering is about every 4-5 days or so.

They're in 3 gallon pots... i'm using MG Moisture Control soil, which seems to retain water very well....

u know it could be the strain. i have white widow vegging atm along with couple other strains and they are further ahead. WW doesnt grow masive buds compared to some others.

anyway, id say they look fine. how tall are they? are ur lights as close as poss? should be about 2-3 inches away.

id continue to water whenever the soil dries. my little'uns dry up after about 2 days.

EDIT: also. if ur looking at other WW pics, it could be that they have been grown under a HPS which will produce bigger an better buds

MG Water retentive soil and CFL's are the first of your problems

mainly the cfl's though.
even though i agree about the cfls. i would still say that they are nice for growing under cfls. i am also going at it with 6 cfls so i hope my WW can look as nice as urs after 30 days flowering

it's the light bro. not enough of it. ph sometimes slows it down but you stated it was within an acceptable range. how big are your pots; they could be root bound

The buds look normal to me,just because yout put them in 12/12 35 days ago does not mean they've been budding for 35 days, the less veg time used the slower they are to respond to 12/12,in all likelyhood you've been in budding about 20 days now.

Knock 2 weeks off your day count due to a short veg time & you'll have the real time they've been in bud.

dont worry about it man, i got a WW on the go under two 200W equivalent CFLs, one red spec, one blue (sides). i veged for 25 days and am now 29 days into flower and mine seem a bit small, but have picked up in the last few days. how many plants you growing under those lights?

If i was you man i'd calm down and let them do there thing!!You seem to be doing everything right so far so just see what happens. If you have no reflective material in there id get some and keep the cfls between 1-3inches away. And if your buds are small put some of the lights on the side so you get bud the hole way down(since cfls dont penetrate foliage as well as Hids).3gallon pots also seem to be plenty big enough for the size of the plants!anyway just my 2cents
good luck

They look healthy, sometimes you get a pheno that takes longer to finish, just have to wait and see if any problems develop.
