Help with a micro growbox

Hi smart friends,

I´m making a very little and stealth growbox, to be put inside a closet.

I feel I need some advice, it´ll be my 1st time growing.

My space is only 26 inches in height, a couple of inches taller than 2'.

I had managed to solve everything, but as a first timer I don´t know the size my plant will grow: I plan planting dwarf strains, like the auto ones (i.e. Lowryder #2).

Only one plant.

Q1 - Will this plant grow taller than 18 inches after its flowering?

Q2 - I live under a very hot subtropical climate: 80-88 F range throughout the year (74 F Winter). Inside the closet it may be a hell of a hot place. I plan using a medium sized domestic fan and CFL bulbs (about 6 bulbs, maybe a bit more). Do you xperienced people think the poor girl will survive under such condition? I don´t want to spend money on seeds and kill the plants.

Any suggestions on better cooling gears than the biggest fan I can fit in the closet?

Thanks in advance,
Love,
R!

Make sure you have a way for fresh air to get in and the hot air to get out. With CFL's a simple hole in the bottom for fresh air and one at the top opposite side for the exhaust is all you'll need. With CFL's keep the light at about 2 inches if they are 65w or less and 3-4 inches if bigger than that. How big is your space length and width? Try to get 5,000 lumen per square foot for optimal grow. You may screw up on the first grow but you will learn what to do to fix it the next time.

the answer to your first question is yes, your plant will grow taller than 18 chances unless it dies lol. but you can prevent it by topping it, taking the the growth off the very top of the plant, stunting the plants growth forcing to to grow outwards instead of up.

As for heat, if it was a cfl grow they put off almost no heat, as long as you are opening the grow box several times a day you should be good, a fan would be even better. Also heat, some marijuana plants thrive in warmer climates and grow better, so just make sure you mist plants leaves and often and water them. Other than that you should be good bra, hope that helps :bigjoint:

Thank you guys.

Lenght - 16 Inches, Width 30 inches.

I´ll try to top it and "train" her to grow in best space-saving way.

I´m still making the box, once done i´ll post some photos!

Best wishes!,

pc fans work well bro....have 1 or 2 bringin air in and one shooting in out and have one in the box that gives good circulation but the one in the box is optional from what i hear

Ok, thank you guys for the help.

I already bought a fan, some wires and electrical stuff. Very soon, probably tomorrow, I´ll be buying plywood and make the box.
I bought some Pakistan Ryder feminized seeds, from World of Seeds, Indica auto-flowering seeds. It´ll arrive here next week.
I plan using 5 to 8 23w CFLs, 2700k, 1150 lumens each. And grow 2 plants.

As soon as my setup is complete, i plan to post some pictures and maybe some making-of material ;-)

I plan making a basic carbon filter. There are threads about this here, it's basically active carbon inside a cloth bag. Than you make a fan blow the smell into it, it absorbs the odour.

BUT... smell isn't a big problem for me, nobody that cares about it living with me...

I started to build the box today... it is not a "box" anymore, I changed the plans and will build a grow tent inside a closet. Next week I hope to post some photos of the project...

Good luck!
And thanks you all..!!!

2 Pakistan Ryder Feminized autoflowering seeds germinated yesterday! One with a 1.5 inch rood. The other with a micro root, maybe 1/4 inch.

I planted both, and today I´ll have finished my box. I changed the project a lot, and the final design is a CFL box wich will be placed outdoors.

As soon as it is done and the seedlings apear I will post photos and start a jornal.

R!
