Help with cfl's please

either way my 400w hps cost me about 40 bucks extra a month and from what i hear that is above average...

Thanks, I don't understand why people have trouble but then again I've been around electric for awhile.

I think the other thing that confuses them is a CFL says it's the same as 100 watt bulb so they think it's the same, but in reality it's only a 23 watt bulb.
